Where WordPress bloggers support each other with feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Hello Fellow-Bloggers,
I hope you had a good weekend. I’d like to share one of my old posts. It’s a short text and a collection of photographs which show a wonderful 5,000 year old stone circle on Lewis; an island in the Outer Hebrides, off the Atlantic coast of Scotland. I’m not a spiritual person, but standing alone among those stones, watching the sun rise was an extraordinary experience. I hope you enjoy this post…

Those pictures are so beautiful. I wonder what was going through the peoples minds who stacked them like that.

They are beautiful indeed…
I wonder how long it took them to do those beautiful designs on the wall

Interesting post đŸ™‚ Wonderful pictures and stones like these always makes you think of the story behind them.

There are a number of theories to do with the prehistoric spiritual purpose of the stone circle, all quite interesting.

There sure are theories, but you still wish you could actually be there and converse with the one who came up with that idea.

They are lovely pictures and the place looks amazing. I’d have liked to have seen some people in the pictures to give some idea of the height of the stones. How high are they, would you say?

Hello everybody, Simon from To Cut a Short Story Short here with my latest flash fiction tale, entitled Salmon and Soul (1200 words). A man meets a mysterious girl in a lonely seaside village shop. Is she all she seems?
https://simonjwood.wordpress.com/2017/11/30/salmon-and-soul/
Also, I have some promotional codes left for FREE copies of my new audiobooks, To Cut a Short Story Short: 111 Little Stories, the ‘best of my blog’ (up to June 2017), and Bound in Morocco (a short story). If you’d like one, please click the ‘Free Audiobooks!’ link in the ‘recent posts’ sidebar on my blog. That gives you full details of how to obtain and download them. They are both narrated by Angus Freathy, who has done 15 audiobooks to date, and whose ‘voices’ really bring the stories to life!

Hi all:
It’s been awhile since I posted but I hope you’ll take 2 minutes to read today’s Manhood Monday post.In a new twist, I’m actually dedicating this article to the women out there in blogosphere. It’s called “Let him be your hero.”
Excerpt:
You can call it testosterone, chauvinism or whatever you’d like, but the reality is that men long to be the hero to the women in their life. Without an outlet for this natural urge a man will become dissatisfied. This dissatisfaction may express itself in a variety of ways, all of which can hurt a relationship.

Hi everyone.
I’ve had a fantastic few days on wordpress – a couple of days ago I posted a blog post on my top 5 favourite lesser-known fantasy characters, and to my utter amazement, one of the authors and creators of one of those characters, the incredible Raymond E. Feist (author of the Riftwar saga, one of the most influential and lasting fantasy sagas of all time) actually read and shared my post on his official page!!! How awesome is that?!! So yeah, a crazy few days for me and a highlight of my time on wordpress so far. Check out the post itself below and let me know if you’ve any ideas of lesser-known fantasy heroes who you think deserve a mention. Dec x

I would suggest adding a link to the Poetry class on Skillshare, so that your readers may find it if it sounds interesting to them. Also, when you do publish your collection, make sure to add a link to that as well so that your readers can find it. Other than that, I feel like it says a lot about you and what you plan to focus your writings on. You may want to add a place for readers to comment on your bio, if that is something that interests you.

Hello swimmers!
I have connected with so many great writers through the pool and would love to connect with more of you. Blogging is a great outlet : ) I write my thoughts, short stories, draw, etc. I am always trying to improve my writing and hopefully finish a novel soon. What about you? Check out my link below :
