To learn more about blogging, take a Blogging U. course.

To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.

Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

  2. Hey, I’m julieanne a 21 year old counselling degree student. I have literally just done my very first blog, on the concept of stigma regarding mental health and my personal experience. I intend to do a lot of psychology/self development type blogs. But also include subjects such as travel and things about me, myself and I 🤗.

    Here’s my first blog, any feedbacks highly appreciated;

  4. Hi, everyone! I just joined WordPress this month and posted my first blog: https://curiouslymoral.wordpress.com/

I am a psychology student, and this blog discusses different interesting aspects of psychology and serves as a journal during my uniquely moral journey through upper education.

Please feel free to check it out, share it, leave comments, etc. I would love to hear your thoughts.

    Cheers!

  6. It is morning here but it is night somewhere else. To all those at those polar extremes and in the beautiful middle, namaskar. I am a writer not a “blogger” but before you dismiss my case that swiftly, wait!

I currently have a collection of short stories titled, “Elements”. They are blog posts from a tiny part of the human collective conscience. It would give me no greater pleasure than to have you select the story from an Element that draws you in and that you review it.

    Yours in gratitude

    1. Your blog has an amazing design. The stories really draw you in. I read the “Earth” series…quite intense. Will come back for more.

PS: you’re gonna have to conjure up a few more elements, you’ve already used up the earthly ones 😛

  7. Hello there! My name is Cátia and I am a software developer from Portugal. As I love reading and decided starting doing some reviews, I created a blog for that. The reviews go in hand with my readings for OnlineBookClub.org, so I also post some pictures taken by me and some opinions (so the blog doesn’t stop while I read a new book). I created the blog this week and my first post is https://watcherofmanyworlds.wordpress.com/2017/09/05/first-blog-post/
Thank you for reading! Have a nice day you all!

  8. Hey bloggers,

I’ve been doing this for a few months now and one of the guys I work with has just started a blog around his greatest passion which is music, this is the first time that he has done something like this so it would be awesome if people could show him what an amazing community wordpress is by helping him make the best possible page and any hints/tips on helping his work captivate an audience either by layout design or anything, I would love to offer him more then my support but I’m not Tech Savvy in the slightest and what he is writing about is a world away from what I do (I mean a poetic based music review does sound like an intriguing challenge to try) but I digress,

    Peace out.

  10. Hello everyone! I’ve just started my blog up, as a way to truly begin my writing. My professors often say that I will either graduate as a practicing artist or a writer, doing my bachelor’s in Fine Arts at the moment (this is my last year!). I realized how often my mind would stray as I go by my daily life, and often I will have the itch to write it all down. Do visit my blog, where I will share the things that go through my mind, or simply share about the things I do in the studio. This is my first post https://deadaestheticssociety.wordpress.com/2017/09/08/20/ I may be writing on a weekly basis. Thank you!
