To find, copy, and paste your link:
Head to your blog’s home page — not your dashboard, your blog itself. Click on the title of your post to open the individual post.

Highlight and copy the URL you see in your browser’s address bar, and paste the entire URL into a comment here.

Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

We ask that you help us keep this space focused by following a few additional guidelines:

  • We encourage anyone who shares a link to visit a few other bloggers. New readers for all!
  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

    1. Of course, bienvenido!

I noticed that you still have some placeholder text in your blog’s sidebar, over to the right of your posts — you can remove or edit that by going to My Site > Customize > Widgets. Look for the Text Widget!

      1. Hi, Shreya! Thanks so much for being so supportive of folks here. We’d appreciate it if you didn’t leave your link in every comment — all the links take attention away from the new folks we’re here to focus on, and people can click on your name to get to your blog. Thanks!

  1. Hello. I am an introvert person and have started writing blogs since a couple of days.I have tried my best to write the content to which many of you can connect yourselves. My first post-TREMBLING LIPS is all about an introvert person who used to be with herself and with her own complications. My post – TWISTED ROMANCE is about finding an epitome of love. FLAMBOYANCE-A HALLOWEEN, my next post deals with the society which is busy in showing off their possessions instead of teaching their children to be themselves and don’t hide their real identity. My post-MIND:A SILENT KILLER OR A GAME CHANGER is all about ones strengths n weaknesses which are directly linked to mind. It tell you how it’s only your mind which can either make you or break you. N my last blog POST WINTER ROMANCE is a short poem on the lovely winter season. Hope you will really like the contents.

    1. Hi there Jess! Welcome to the blogging community!

I have never done a Pilates class; however, I do practice yoga and have had classes that liked to combine techniques from both yoga and Pilates. I’m wish you all the best on this new journey and hopefully you find posting about it to be as cathartic.

I did notice that your very first blog post is an example. Perhaps you would like to delete that? I also wasn’t sure if you wished to add more information to the contact page, either; that appeared a little bland. Granted, I don’t have a contact page, so perhaps I’m not the best to base this off of. 🙂

Thank you for sharing and I wish you all the best. Cheers! 💫

      1. Hey! Thanks so much for your comment. I’m still super new to this so still trying to figure it all out. I’ve wanted to change or add a couple of things but haven’t always found how to do it. Thanks for your kind words, I hope you continue to enjoy yoga!

  4. Im a college student in the US just trying to muddle through life. This blog acts as a way for me to express myself, give some advice, and tell some of my
All time favorite stories. It would mean a lot if you would give a couple of my articles a read! Here’s a link to my first one. Hope you enjoy!

    1. Ah, a journal blog. Nice black-and-white presentation, rather personable and approachable narrative style. I notice you’ve got some social media icons up top, but they’re not linked to your social media accounts. Do you have some you’d like to put up there? (also, what does ‘Imbrogliosis’ mean in terms of your blog? might be a good prompt)

      1. I didn’t even realize they weren’t linked! Thank you for pointing that out. I explain what imbrogliosis is in my blog hello but I think I will do a blog with just that as a prompt. Thanks again for your advice!!

    2. Welcome!

A tip — you’re using a lot of tags on your posts. The WordPress.com Reader actually filters out posts that use more than 15 tags and categories (combined) as an anti-spam measure, so using this many tags actually makes it harder for folks to find your posts, which is sad! If you cut your tags down to the most relevant, you’ll actually draw more readers.

  5. I’m not quite 1-year-old, but I have strong opinions. My first post is pretty short, but it sets the tone. I review music, children’s books, and cultural happenings. I hope you enjoy my foray into cultural criticism. (Shout out to m. and d. for posting my reviews since I’m not allowed to have any “screen time”)
