Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for more information about custom domains, advanced design options, and other enhancements for your blog? Find the WordPress.com plan that’s right for you.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

I’ve been writing a fair bit of poetry recently and I’d love some feedback on this poem in particular: https://caroljforrester.com/2017/08/17/echoes-and-memories/
I’m also debating putting together an anthology of the poems on the site. Do you think anyone would be interested?

This is such an interesting poem, I liked the descriptions, in particular, they helped the poem come alive and made it incredibly captivating. If you want to you could totally create an anthology of poems, I’d be interested in reading more from you!!

Hi Carol, I really liked your poem and left a comment on your blog. Just my thoughts and feel free to ignore them but I think putting an anthology of poems on your blog can be tricky as if you’re trying to publish work, a lot of publishers won’t use it if it’s already been published which includes on your own blog site.
I also think posting singular poems at a time gives readers a nice taster of your work and also lends the poem more stand-alone power. It depends, if you publish the anthology in a drip-feed way rather than all at once then I’m sure it will be read and appreciated by more people. I guess it’s a great way to get feedback if you want to test new work. I’ll definitely check it out if you do đŸ™‚
I write poetry too and occasionally perform it though I haven’t published much. It would be great if you could check out my blog too, it’s mostly based around my art but I’ve posted some poems too. Here’s the link:

I recently blogged about some cool places to get coffee at in San Diego, and I’m looking to hear your feedback. I hope to continue blogging about this type of content more often (and it’s not because I want more coffee, haha!) because I believe that food/drink enriches your experiences. especially if you’re traveling or have a remote job like me.

I really like how interesting this post was and how you covered a lot of different areas of social media. Personally, I think could go weeks without social media, like a cleanse as you mentioned because I feel like sometimes I do need a break from the online world. Mainly because I blog and do a lot of promotions on social media quite often so it’s definitely something that would benefit me.

I see a text widget on the right with the default text, you could remove that, or you could have a custom text there.
Also, you could also put a “About” and a “Contact” page, perhaps a “follow” button too.
