Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Your post makes some good points about being a perfectionist. Like you, when I revisit something I wrote months or years ago, I always make improvements. Rather than nag at myself for not doing a good job the first time, I consider that perhaps I have grown as a writer. From what I see on your blog so far, it appears you write about whatever thoughts capture your imagination. You might want to do a brainstorming session and list as many things as you can that fascinate you. From that list, you will probably see some that would make good posts. https://gracelead.co

Thank you for the advise, on how to come up with ideas. And me being a perfectionist I do find it hard not to find all the flaws in my work! I like what you said about growing as a writer, I will keep this in mind for next time I am writing. Thank you.

In your post, one thing to consider is that the part giving advice to new bloggers could be a nice post by itself. For consistency, sometimes it helps to put yourself on a schedule. I do once a week. That doesn’t mean I write once a week. It means I write a bunch of posts when I have burst of energy. Then, I schedule them to publish one a week. This gives me the freedom to nap one week if I choose and my readers won’t know the difference. https://gracelead.co

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it, and yeah actual that is a really good idea, the multiple post. I wrote two today but it is definitely a though. I will try to be consitent with that idea but again placements does take a whole time. But again thank you for this 😊

Hi!
Am I allowed to post twice in the community pool within the same week?
I wrote another poem. It’s not the best, but any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hey guys, hopefully your Friday is going well. I’ve been blogging for a month now and I love the community here. I am blogging about my journey as a woman in the male dominated field of STEM, but I also post about makeup, food and travel. Stay tuned for posts about my upcoming trip to Bali and Thailand!

Hello, everybody.
In my blog https://writecurserepeat.wordpress.com/ you’ll find posts about cats, my works, and about writing in general. The overall look is fairly minimalistic so, you should have no trouble navigating.
I look forward to meeting fellow bloggers and others. Any suggestions are welcome. I hope you have a spectacular day.
