Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Happy Friday! And if you’ve got one, happy long weekend!
In today’s post on My Instruction Manual, I take a look back at the highlights and lowlights of my first month of blogging. This post is a bit “inside blogging” so may be of particular interest to other bloggers.
As always, I would love your feedback here or on the blog!

Hello again deep-enders. Just published a piece on the theory/dichotomy of Forgiveness. I would love for you to have a read and respond with your own thoughts, as this was a somewhat arduous one for me.

Hi everyone!
I’ve just completed a short children’s story I have been working on all week. Would really appreciate some feedback, please!
I am aware the meter will need revising at some point..but right now my eyes are blurry from it all.
ENJOY!!

It is a great story, but some parts might be a bit too confusing for little kids. Good job!

Hi Bold and Busy,
Your blog seems off to an amazing start. I like how all your posts seem like a collection of short stories, it keeps things interesting. The only thing I suggest is more photos to keep it engaging. Other than that, great blog.
Sincerely,
Kat

As a fellow introvert I agree with everything you’re saying and more! I can totally relate! Tip: I couldn’t find a like button so please make sure to put that on there and you should also edit the text widget at the bottom. Best of luck!

My thoughts so far are that there are many variations of introverts just as there are many variations of extroverts. One tool is the MBTI (Meyers Briggs Temperament Indicator) which tries to help you get a sense of your temperament. One part is whether you are an extrovert or introvert. On their scale, an extrovert is energized by interacting with people while an introvert is energized by time alone. It’s not a matter of shyness. I am not shy. I like people. It’s simply that interacting with them drains my energy. To recover, I need time alone. https://gracelead.co

Hey! I think maybe you should post some more and come back! I like your background however, it makes the side text hard to read. I like your introduction though, and it seems to be the start of something good!

My sister and I started our blog in November…and clearly still have a lot to learn; I just stumbled upon his forum and am so happy to have done so! We post our parents traditional Greek recipes, along with some family stories. We tend to post new recipes twice a week and this past week we posted tzatziki and dolmades. Would love someone (or lots of people!) to take a look and give us your feedback on ways to improve! Thanks so much 🙂

Your blog seems off to a great start and I like how you remain true to your niche. Your pictures are also good, and I like how you include little anecdotes before your recipes! Keep up the good work!

I agree with Luna. The best part of your site is the personal anecdotes. For me, it would work better to have the ingredients listed at the beginning of the instructions. The reason is that I would want to know if there’s anything I can’t eat or can’t easily find in my market before I read through all the details. https://gracelead.co
