Community Pool

Where bloggers come together to give each other feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

  1. Hi everyone!
Besides having keen interest in technology, I have always enjoyed writing but have hesitated to put my work out in public. All this while, I published a few posts but only shared it amongst my closed ones( the gripping fear of being criticized for your work, out in public). Also,I haven’t been able to dedicate myself fully to writing, thanks to my busy college life. Now that I have obtained my engineering degree, I want to give some time to writing. It would be of immense help if you guys read my earlier published posts on my blog site and give your valuable advices as well as opinions and surely, my site could do with a lot of help from you all to look attractive than it does now. Below is the link to my home page-

  3. Hey Guys, been really busy recently so I haven’t been on the blogging scene, looking to get back into the game in the next few days. I would really appreciate if you guys could visit the blog, have a bit of a read, and tell me of any changes that need to be made, and let me know what kind of content/what kind of issues you want me to debate/talk about next! All help and feedback is very very much appreciated!

    Thanks a million

  4. Hello to all my gurus! Coming to this new world of blogging, it’s too fascinating to write an article between you all! I read most of your blogs and couldn’t believe how you pen down your thoughts so well. So I tried to write a story of my dream. Basically my whole blog is all about dreams only. It’s just that I find them too fascinating to write them down and so I m here. I edited my theme after surfing some of your blogs, just a start in this world of blogging! Hope so you all will like it. Opinions are always welcome to my story and also to my editing done with my theme. Thank you all in advance!

  5. Sorry my lovely for the delay. I have not forgotten about you, I simply got overwhelmed at work… Unfortunatley, I have grownup scientist responsibilities and I have to wake up and go to my day job 🚀 (However, I am not a rocket scientist, I work with a different kind of physics… Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

    1. I can relate to being socially awkward. High school was a nightmare until I decided that I would no longer try to adapt to the “popular” crowd. I simply did my own thing. Eventually, I made a few friends who liked me the way I was 🙂 https://gracelead.co

    2. Hey, I read your post and it’s really relatable! Some feedback would be to watch your sentences. As another person who finds it hard to punctuate, I would recommend any grammar app to keep you good 😉 Also you have a random text widget just chilling out in the corner of your site. If you head into customization it’s easily removed. Keep up the writing 🙂

    1. Hello Emma. It looks like you are off to a good start. Personally, I like your clover photo. To make it “relevant” you could include a short factoid about clovers or tell us why you like them. Thanks for including a helpful About page. One tip to consider: If you want your post to show up in the WordPress Reader, you’ll need to limit Tags+Categories to 15 or fewer per post. https://gracelead.co

  7. Hey everyone- Here is a guide to London Transport. According to Google, London extends over 1,572 km square whilst Paris only covers 105.4 km square! It is scary to think that London is still rapidly expanding, even as you read this post. As a result of the sheer size of London, you have to travel a lot and that can be expensive.Hopefully this post will give you a better understanding of transport in London.

  9. I’m new to the world of blogging. Took me a while to get here. Some feedback and tips would be great. I’m also trying to figure out how to get the Pinterest icon onto my site so my visitors and readers can get to my Pinterest page to get info, and ideas.

  10. Hi everyone!! I’ve had my blog for like a week now so I’m still really new and could use some feedback on some of my posts or even my layout. I sorta feel like my layout is inconsistent (?). Thanks ❤
