The place where bloggers give each other feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

Thanks! I haven’t done my flowers yet, we usually don’t plant them until after the 3rd weekend in May (living in Canada), so I’ll be doing them in the next couple of weeks.

I really liked this.
It is a teeny point, but are you using a couple of different sized fonts deliberately? I kept being distracted trying to work out why the font was slightly smaller for some sentences…
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thank you for your feedback. No, I didn’t make any changes to the font during the piece. I will look into things though and see if I can prevent anything like that happening though.

Don’t worry too much it was a teeny thing. Maybe it’s just the way it looks on my screen?

Hey. Just went through your page. Firstly add a http before pasting the link to your page , makes it easier for others to access your amazing blog . Your link should be like this : https://cyanclouds.wordpress.com/
Secondly, I liked your “Positivity” post. Well written. Long way to go. I see some text widgets though, you can remove them by customizing your layout/theme. Keep writing . Cheers!

I had to dig pretty deep to find anything that was familiar to me (sorry, I’m and old dude. I did see LaLa Land and I read your review. Do you get paid as a reviewer? This was so far beyond anything I’ve ever seen on a Blog. Your writing was clear and informed, you were able to draw on personal examples, you cited influences, etc. It is really amazing. You liked LLL way more than I did, but that isn’t the point. Impressed!
LikeLiked by 3 people
Thanks man, that’s such nice feedback, I really appreciate it – I don’t get paid, I wish! If I’m completely honest I’m scared to revisit LLL because I feel that it will go down in my estimation when compared to earlier, better musicals that I rewatch a lot. Anyway thanks again, and I will check out your blog now
