Welcome to First Friday, a weekly open thread where any new blogger can share a link to his or her very first post with the larger WordPress.com community. To share your first post with us, copy and paste the link right into a comment here. If you’re not new, you can still be a part of First Fridays: visit a link or two, and leave the blogger a like or comment.

Please don’t use this as a space to share your first post…. that you published three years ago; ditto for simply sharing your latest post. Posts should have been published within the last month, and should be your first post. We’ll remove other posts to keep this space focused for new bloggers.

  • When commenting, the third time is not the charm: don’t share the same link repeatedly, or in multiple First Friday threads. We’ll remove repeat posts.
  • Link directly to your new post, rather than to your blog generally — it makes it that much easier for folks to like the post or leave you comments.
  • Avoid repeated “Follow for a follow!” comments. (Tip: if you’re trying to build a readership, it’s much more effective to visit and comment on individual bloggers.)
  • To keep from losing your place while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on links to open them in a new tab or window.

    1. ALL the HBO GO movies? Wow! Quite an undertaking! Visually, there’s a lot going on with your blog. The movie posters are pretty big on my end. I think the format is really cool, but I didn’t know where to start. Are you going to start on foreign films?

  11. Hello everyone! I am not necessarily a new blogger since my first post was in 2015 but this year I have decided to be more intentional in being consistent with my writing. I hope to be able to hone my writing skills and learn more of what the WordPress blogging community is like! Hope you all have a great Friday! 🙂

  14. Hello All!
    I posted this late last night from the one last week because I had just read about this late…. My first blog was April 1st. I’ve written 2 more since, but this is all still new to me… a little scary but fun, too. I never thought I’d be doing this as most of work is fiction, but this blog has allowed me to tap into my non-fiction work by sharing things about myself (thus the scary part). But here’s my first post from my blog, Pakistani Southern Belle.

    3. I enjoyed your writing. It’ natural and I felt like I could get inside your head. I find that my longer posts get less likes because most people don’t want to spend the time reading for a while. I tend to flit between short and long. Keep writing, you’re good 😀

    I just started my blog yesterday. I opened it for my soul, but maybe there is someone else out there that shares the same opinions like me. We all need a good advice, opinion or just someone that has the same filings, just to know that we are not alone, or crazy ( medicines are expensive so we can’t afford them!!!!!)     I hope I am posting in the right place: I started my WordPress blog about a month ago, and this is my first post:

    The Naples Diaries: Day One

    I have also imported posts from my previous blog on Blogspot (where I was a sporadic blogger), so it might look like I’ve been blogging for much longer, but I’ve only recently committed to blogging seriously. I would love feedback on the look and feel of my site, plus the content, as this is very much new to me!
