Community Pool

Where bloggers come for friendly feedback and advice.

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

    1. Hello) I said everything about the post in the comments, so here I’m gona ay a little ’bout the design. I really like it! I don’t see mny themes here with black background and white text, very cool) I like the language that you use, very easy to read and interesting. But there’s a problem on some of your other pposts, I seem to not be able to ‘like’ some. Maybe you did it, maybe i’s a bug, I dunno)
All in all, very nice and informative blog))

    1. Hey) And welcome here again)) Checked your post out and have to say it’s great) I’ve heard a lot of people talking about sharing their personal detailes online, there are so many movies made covering this topic. Yet your post makes a little difference, which is always a plus, I haven’t heard anyone looking at it from your side, I never thought I had the desire of chronicling my life, but I guess it’s in our genes as we all saw the photos, our moms and dads took them, theit parents did the same thing, and their parents and so on. So thanks for such an interesting read)))

  1. The big lingerie party!💞 Ft.PrettySecrets.com🎀
So, last Sunday (5th March) I had been to this big lingerie party which was super fun. This party was only for insiders. And I feel fortunate to be a part of this. Bloggers like Aakriti Rana Gill and Shaurya Sandhya were part of the first pretty secrets party.  About PS– PrettySecrets is a Young, […]

    1. Oh this is sooo cute! I wish there were more events like this where I live! I would have been so much fun! As for your bloog, I have to say it’s cute too) You have many pictures, they’re fun and nice, but I’d suggest you edit them a little, maybe try some filters, play with th colors, stuff like that) And I’d also added menu bars, not onlt ‘contact’ one, but also ‘blog’, ‘about’ and maybe some more if you want. Cause i had to wonder for a few secs to figure out I just have to press the name and see all the other posts)
Everything else is nice, the content seems to be informative and interesting and I like how you add the description to every pic, it’s great))

    1. Hey, Hannah) Just checked your site out) It has a lot of interesting info) That post about summer wish list made me want to make my own)) And congrats for running a Parkrun! It’s soo cool, I’m very bad at running (and not a huge fan to be honest), but I do support others)
I noticed one little thing about the blog which I find a bit weird. As you scroll through the home page you can see all of the posts, but the visitor can’t like them, so if you want the number of likes to grow try to change it. It must be somewhere in the main options))
Everything else is nie and appealing) Have a good day))

  2. Hello fellow bloggers! As writers I’m sure you all must be procrastinators too. You all must have been told at some point in your life that procrastination is not good. You may have tried a lot to avoid it but here I am to tell you to embrace it. Read up my post on why procrastination is good – https://procrastinatoratwork.wordpress.com and let me know what you think.

  3. I would love to have some constructive feedback on my blog. My family recently volunteered to be a “host family” for children through a Christian-based program called Safe Families for Children. I’m not a writer and I’m not a blogger…but both became a way for me to sort out my thoughts and emotions during this adventure. Any feedback is appreciated. The writing is for me, but I feel like there’s a chance it might be helpful for others, too. I can’t shake the thought that there’s a reason I need to try to get it out there, but I haven’t had the courage to do much with it yet. Thanks for your help!
