Where bloggers come for friendly feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

Hi everyone!
I would love to find bloggers who post the same topics or have a similar writing style, to support and bounce feedback off of each other. I post on mainly lifestyle, wellbeing, environment, and personal topics.

Hi everyone, I’m starting a teacher training programme in September and decided to write about my experiences with applying and preparing to start and will carry on while I train 🙂 I’m a maths student at the moment and my writing isn’t that great. Would I be able to get some feedback on what I could improve on?

Hey people, look out on my newly published complete poem ,it’s about when we say goodbye, but actually it’s not our will but our necessity!!
this poem is wholeheartedly dedicated to my class whose session is just ending and we all friends will separate, after a long span of 2 years!!
its not just bout our class, but resembles the relations in which we need to say goodbye without our want, without our will!!!
hope you’ll like;D !!

I noticed that you have many tags and categories which are the same. Categories are a way to group your posts. Tags are a way to help people searching the internet find your posts. Also, is there a reason you have all your posts specified as “sticky” instead of simply letting them display most recent at the top of the page? https://gracelead.co

Why does blogging on a topic such as christianity make it so hard to attract people?
LikeLiked by 2 people
hi there! from my own experience growing up as a christian + what i have heard from various friends: a good question is to ask what people can take away from the blog. can they take away something more from the blog than if they just opened up a bible? is there some reflection or personal story they can relate to, rather than condemned and judged? (not saying yours is condemning! just sharing what i’ve heard and felt about other christianity-based blogs). hope that helps!
LikeLiked by 3 people
There are many people who are not Christians and it would be difficult to attract them. However, as betterlemonaid said, if you share more personal stories, rather that judgement, probably you would have more success. Good luck!

One thing that might help is to put some tags on your posts to make it easier for people to find them. Another thing to try is to use the WordPress Reader to find posts on topics similar to yours. Put likes or comments on some of the posts it returns. This will make your site more visible to people with similar interests. https://gracelead.co

Afternoon.
I have for a little time now been in a bit of a rut with my blogging and have struggled with what to write. I would like some general feedback please on both my blogs. just what do you think of the general look and feel of them, the pictures used, the content etc. The Cognitive Reflection blog seems to have lost its way in my opinion but is that just me, does it read OK or do I need to do something new with it.
blogs are

Thanks

The blogs seemed similar to me. You might consider merging them. https://gracelead.co

Cognitive is more of a diary, personal stuff whereas habitat is more “creative” a bit of writing, thoughts etc… At least that was my intention. What was it about them that made you think that they were similar?

They both seemed to be about your thoughts on a variety of topics.

I would love for you to check out my blog. But my question is and it’s probably a stupid one but when you are entering the tags you want for your new post do you have to put a # in front of them like “#cooking” or just type the word you want for your tag like “cooking”?
My blog is https://marymargaretripley.com

Typing the word you want is perfectly fine! There are no “stupid” questions here, ask away! 🙂

@ marymargaretripley… I like your blog and it seems you tagged urself appropriately. It is just a little hard for me to see the words because the lettering is super light…

1. Your images and design are very good
2. Your content is interesting but feels a bit choppy; for instance in this post you give a bit of history, jump into a tragic story, and then show some beautiful, modern day photos of the area. Give your readers additional transitions between the sections and the posts will have more fluid flow 🙂
3. Keep up the beautiful work

Hi there.
I blog about my gastric bypass experience and I really enjoy it but I feel like I may be running out of steam. Also, I’d like to do the “daily word” posts but I don’t understand how to do it. Can someone explain this to me in a 1,2,3 step process that makes sense???? THANK YOU! Also, any suggestions on my blog are appreciated 🙂

Hello,
In case you’re referring to the Daily Prompts, all you need to do to make your post visible to other bloggers visiting the prompt is to include the full URL of the prompt in the post you’re writing in response to it.
For example, if you’re writing about today’s word — “Luck” — you’ll just need to copy the URL of the prompt first: https://wordpress.com/dailypost/prompts/luck/
Once you did that, you’ll want to paste it directly in your post, or create a link that leads there. Once you publish your post it’ll show up among all the other posts written in response to the prompt right here on The Daily Post.
I hope this helps — let us know if you need assistance with anything else.
