Where bloggers come for friendly feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

I’d like to invite everyone to stop by and check out my poem of the week, “Out at 67 (For the Good Doctor.)” On today’s date in 2005, Dr. Hunter S. Thompson died, and this is a tribute poem in his honor. If you like the poem, please click the “like” button on the post page. Comments and feedback are always welcome, and please leave them in the comments section of the post page as well. I published a letter last week in response to a daily prompt. Though some people liked it, I would like to hear from you here. Can you give me your opinion as to what happened after this letter. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone. About 6 weeks ago I set up a blog following my journey to be a teacher, and address education inequality. I am very new to blogging, and I would really appreciate your feedback. I am still in the process of developing the blog, and it will take on a better shape when there are more posts. I would really appreciate your feedback on my most recent blog post. http://tinyurl.com/z83qmwa and my blog url is http://www.teaching-without-borders.com

Hey, just checked on your blog, looks lovely. I have two suggestions:
– Add short brief about you on the left widget
– Move the e-mail follow higher
Hope you find my feedback helpful. You may like to hop over to my blog (lifestyle/travel) for ideas and like and follow if you enjoy reading my blog posts.

Hi all!:) I’m a relatively new blogger and I’m still trying to figure out my kind of voice. Although I want to write about my depression and social anxiety, I also want to write inspirational and motivational things on my blog, including quotes and poems. What do you think? I’d be happy to get any kind of feedback.

Great blog! We’re also suffering from mental illnesses so we know how it is – keep fighting!
First thing I noticed: the links for facebook or tumblr or g+ are not set up. You should add them or remove icons if you don’t have accounts there!
Other than that – it looks great! I would add some featured images/graphics to make it more interesting. And with lists (as yur “10 things to do…”) I would make sure to seperate it more and make more spaces between each number.
Keep up good work!

Hi everyone
I started my blog about 4 weeks ago. It took courage and a lot of pestering from my friends. I decided to focus on the three consumers of my life… Food, Being a wife and lastly being mum. So much to talk about with those three things. Please do take a look and help me find my way. I’m a newbie in need of the expertise of long time bloggers. Please be honest and i will take it all on board the good, the bad and the ugly too.

Hi, I like the clean and neat layout of your site. Just a couple of suggestions:
– Include a widget about you on the widget area on the left of your blog
– Include a widget for Category so that readers can search on the topics they like to read
Check out my blog for ideas on setting up your blog site – https://audreysimplicity.com/

I’m writing a political blog since Trump got into office. If you want to keep it up with him read here: https://trumpweekly.wordpress.com/2017/02/17/trump-week-four/
I personally want to write it as objevtive as I can, but I’m afraid my tone is not adequate enough.. Some Feedback on tbis would be nice!
Also: Is the site structured well and easy to navigate? I’m looking forward to your feedback

What an amazing idea for a blog! I really like it! For me, it looks great although photos in “photos of the week” are not working for me. But besides that, everything looks great!
Could you tell me how do you manage e-mail subscribtions? For unknown reason I thought that it is not possible on wordpress-hosted website.

Hey there! I’m a new blogger. I rrally would love some advice on how to write book reviews. I read books a lot and I’d love to put up some of my opinions on different books. Only I don’t really know how to exactly write that will interest the readers. So anyone with an advice or with having blogs that are similar, I’d love your help. 🙂

Hi there we do book reviews, the thing i found helped the most when i first started was to have really strong feelings towards the book i was reviewing, either good or bad it makes it much easier to describe how the book made you feel, also be honest! just because 10million people loved the book doesnt mean you have to. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much. Funnily enough, I have a harder time with words when my feelings are too strong. I just keep feeling I’m not doing it justice. But I guess, if I start, I’ll find my way.
Thank you for your advice.
I’ll go and have a look at your blog. 🙂

Hi Community Pool!
I’m new to the blogging world and wonder if I am writing in a way that would draw in an outside reader and connect!
Below I’ve linked my personal favorite post I’ve written so far because it’s one I really believe in….it’s about Mom Shaming. Any tips on my post?
Also, how do you get a box to pop up when visiting my wordpress home site that will allow someone to subscribe to email notifications?
My blog is meant to reach a reader who is interested in topics around motherhood, natural wellness, and family life.
Thank you in advance!
