Where bloggers come for friendly feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

Your post is heartfelt and has interesting thoughts. You might want to try an editing app to help you with grammar. For instance, “When I am sad, why it’s needed to carry a fake smile and walk?” would read better as, “When I am sad, why do I need to carry a fake smile and walk?” https://gracelead.co

Thank you so much for the great suggestion… I will definitely try to improve my grammar…

Hi just few hours back I have written this blog on Indian Education System. I need some feedback so that I can improve it.

The ideas in your post are interesting. You have a good amount of data to support your points. In some places, the writing makes it difficult to understand. Here’s a possible alternative to your first sentence. “Today’s education system may be good at helping students score marks but, it fails to help them retain the knowledge once they have completed their examinations.” https://gracelead.co

Hello there!
I just published a chapter of a fictional story – the confession.
Go ahead and read it here – https://yashovardhan99.wordpress.com/2017/02/20/the-confession-chapter-9/
Would love some feedback and advice to Improve my writing

I thought this was great! I think it’s just the right length for a blog too. You really nailed it on the amount people can read/enjoy with just enough character development but not too much for the setting. Keep it going! -Marie aka: http://www.goldisfromaliens.com

Thanks a lot Mary.
How do you think I can improve the setting? I’ll also ask you to check out the other chapters of the story and leave some feedback on my site, if possible.
Meanwhile, I’ll check out your blog!

You’ve a really nice blog out there with some quite funny posts which also provides the correct knowledge. I’d say your theme compliment
S your site well and you’ve just the right amount of widgets in the side.
However, you lost me with your political posts. I try to keep as far from politics as I could, so that’s what I’m not reading. Ever.

Hi everyone. I have 2 blogs. One is the main blog which is my running blog https://theoldfellowgoesrunning.com/ and I have a secondary blog which I administer for the church I am lay pastor for https://mysundayblog.com/ I have had a few followers on my secondary blog but when I follow back it is through my main blog. How do I go about following back using my secondary blog. Thank you so much!
LikeLiked by 5 people
I looked at your mysundayblog. Your About page is good. I enjoyed the Going the Extra Mile post. To follow back from your secondary blog, you’ll need to be logged into that blog. Then there are a couple of ways to follow. (1) Go into WPAdmin and find your list of followers. You should see a Follow button next to each one. Click on the ones you want to follow. (2) You can also use the WordPress Reader to search for a post on their blog. Once you find one, you can click on “visit” for that post to get to their site. Once on their site, you can follow. https://gracelead.co

I have a blog about Depression & Anxiety. The layout and overall aesthetics are still a work in progress so I would love feedback on banner ideas and colors. I also have a new blog post from a few days ago that I would like feedback on concerning the tone, writing style, information, and whether it’s too pessimistic or not. THANKS!!! xoxo

Hey! I just read your latest blog post. I think that your writing style is excellent. It was really raw and honest. I wouldn’t worry about sounding ‘pessimistic’. You’re just being honest about how you feel and that is far better than putting on a false front. If you did that, then your posts wouldn’t have any value. Danielle xx

So I reaLLY liked the posts. BUT, you have a bit of admin clean up. For instance, the top bar shows social media widgets next to your name implying that you follow those widgets to find your Twitter (as an example) account. But when I click on it, I go to my own account. Then at the bottom of the screen and within the blogs you have text admin script that only you’re supposed to see showing to the public. I REALLY like the design and photo choices. 🙂 Followed! Looking forward to more. -Marie aka http://www.goldisfromaliens.com

Hello all! I could use some honest feedback on the short stories I’ve written on my blog.
I usually have two types of posts. The first is the normal “daily” type post where I talk about what I’m feeling or what I did that day. The second type is my short story world. I find something that inspires me, whether it’s a dream or a photo, and write about it.
I’m thinking about really pushing forward in a writing career, but want to make sure I’m not making a huge mistake and that my current fans (aka husband, Mom, and Dad) aren’t just being nice for the sake of not hurting my feelings.
I want to be a writer more than I’ve wanted to be anything in my life. I’m currently in school to get my Associates in Information Technology, but I just told my husband this weekend that I’m not going to follow it up with my Bachelor’s because I’ll be wasting my time, energy, and money on something that ultimately won’t make me happy.
Check out my blog and let me now what you think! Thanks in advance!

Your blog looks great although I would add featured images to your posts to make it more interesting to click. I would also remove “meta” category on your sidebar as it’s not useful for users.

Hi Eli
I read two of your posts and enjoy reading them especially the one on Ruth. Yes, sometimes women over-interpret things. 🙂
One feedback regarding your blog site, the first bottom widget looks rather overcrowded, I would suggest either you reduce the number of items there since they are already appearing on the side widget. Alternatively, move a few to the third bottom widget since it is empty.
If you have time, do stop by my blog, would love some feedback on my posts.
