Where bloggers come for friendly feedback and advice.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

I think just about everyone can relate to those days when the PMS devils strike haha. One thing, I felt the post ended a bit abruptly after the detail of the post. Maybe a bit of reflection at the end or a bit more detail of how you relaxed again would help with that. Good post either way!

Oh sorry about that, I recently switched over to a self hosted website and deleted my old site. I think it’s fixed now.

This is gold! I very rarely get any order on my food correct now-a-days (I’ve learned to live with it and so has my boyfriend), but God have mercy on the poor soles when they mess it up during my time of the month. I’ve scared an employee so bad, they went and hid in the bathroom while their manager fixed my order and gave me a free ice cream. Why is it so hard to not put cheese on something when explicitly asked for them not to? Some people just don’t like cheese…

Hi, y’all! I snagged my first big interview with author Tamar Arslanian, who wrote the bestselling book “Shop Cats of New York”. It’s a really fun look behind the scenes! If you love cats, you’ll definitely want to check this out.

Great article, I think this will be a good resource for a lot of writers who are struggling with writing POC. I know I was able to take a few good ideas away from reading this. Good job!

Hello all!
Today I posted a new what-I’m-reading post, but it’s a little different than usual. Rather than reviewing the books after I’ve read them, I briefly introduced all the books I’ll be using for my senior Spanish project. Then, in a few months when I’m done, I’ll do a reprise post on what I thought of them and how they fit into my project. If you’re interested in memoirs and/or Latino authors, this is definitely a good place to get ideas for your TBR.
On Thursday, I’ll post about homemaking and ownership of space. I’ve been living in my apartment for a little over a year now, and I’ve learned some things about how I interact with spaces. So stayed tuned for that!

I had been absent from blogging for a while and here I share why. If anyone else here has never been in the process of building a home, let me tell you, it’s stressful. Read a little more about our experience here and feel free to browse my other posts as well.

Hello Everyone!
I love to write, whether I am advocating for Mental Health through sharing my personal journey, my life as a mother, poems and short stories (humor, paranormal and serious) and even the odd rant about whatever hot topic has set me off.
I’ve been a busy busy little blogger and I would love to connect with you and hear from you while I am building my little corner of the internet.
**This week alone I tackle depression on my vacation, my thoughts on those ‘Cash Me Outside’ memes/videos,as well as have penned a few fun poems/posts.

Hello all! I blog because I want to help women by sharing my story and challenging them to share their own…by acknowledging imperfections, understanding self-worth, self-love, focusing on your dreams, embracing your emotions, and fighting for your equality. This is the journey of LADYHOOD. My site is for the high school girls thinking about college…for the freshman females learning themselves while on a college campus, for the “upper-classwomen” (Pinkspen) who have struggled with relationships and friendships on campus, for mothers raising young daughters and for all women of every race, ethnicity, background, social class, sexual orientation, and weight.
LADYHOOD advocates self-love, peace, and equality for all women.
Please check out my latest post https://aladyhoodjourney.wordpress.com/2017/02/09/thin-vs-fat-bias/
I would love your feedback!

I love everything that your blog stands for! Empowering women is so important and looking inwards to understand exactly who you are and the person you want to be. Your thin v fat post is very interesting and highlights that even though we might not like to think we act with a bias in mind, sometimes it’s embedded in our minds, that’s part of the challenge our society faces. Good stuff and I look forward to reading more!
