Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

    1. One thing I noticed is that you are using many categories and tags. The WordPress Reader only displays post with no more than 15 categories + tags. You might want to remove some of your categories, especially the ones that are the same as the tags. https://gracelead.co

  2. Hi! My blog is fairly new. I would love some feedback! I’ve made only 3 posts as of now but I’ve not received a single feedback. I don’t know how to market my posts so some tips will be helpful as well.
    Thank you!
(Brownies and love for you if you do end up leaving a comment on my posts. 😀 )

    1. Your latest post is well-written and you clearly made your point. To increase visibility to your site, try using the WordPress Reader to find sites similar to yours. You could set up “travel” as a Reader tag. Once the Reader returns some posts, read a few and put likes or comments on them. The owners of those posts will likely be curious enough to visit your site. https://gracelead.co

  3. Hi. I started my blog back in June just as a sort of online journal. I know the posts aren’t that great – just sort of my thought processes and rants. Anyway, I haven’t posted regularly since July but posted again in November and just the other day. I’d appreciate some comments on my posts at https://ontheleveeblog.wordpress.com/
    Thanks!

  4. Hey everyone!

So lately I’ve been thinking about potentially starting a separate blog to this band blog, for personal blogging. I’m thinking of a lifestyle blog, but I am stuck for blog names. Do you guys have any tips to creating a good and catchy blog name? Thanks in advance! Hope everyone has a great day!

  5. I’m working on starting a blog in conjunction with a forum for providing professional coaching over the internet. I think an unbelievable amount of people could benefit. I don’t have any participants yet, but I have a few blog posts, can you look at my most recent post and let me know your thoughts and/or let me know what you think about the forum. Nothing to lose, right?!

  6. I was simply writing to my dad about the fire I built and then it became a long email about fire. So I turned it into a blog post and I think is ready for public consumption. Your comments are welcome. https://playgneiss.wordpress.com/2016/12/07/fire-good-mostly/ Does the post make you think of an experience of your own? The way I write is fairly organic. Where it will end is unknown to me when I start with an idea I’ve been pondering. I wait to be inspired rather than scheduling writing sessions regularly. My Word Press blog also doesn’t have a theme, a lack of a plan that I am toying with. Are you compelled to write regularly? Do you use the word prompts?

  7. I have recently started a blog for my poetry. I would like some feedback on the layout and ease of navigation of my page. I also wouldn’t mind some feedback on the actual content posted. I can be contacted from the page or via reply to this thread.

  8. Hiya! How are you all doing? Am good(thanks for asking). All jokes aside, I started posting a few blogs on WordPress and I would really appreciate if you guys take out a little time from your lives and have a look at the posts. Please do leave comment or suggestions. It would give me an idea on how or where to improve more. Oh! I almost forgot! I am a newbie and my English might be a bit edgy but we are all here to learn and grow I guess.
So please, feel free to drop my my blog site. Here’s a link to one of my posts:

  9. Hi, I’m interested in photography and have been posting my shots to get some feedback. I’ve been blogging for a few months properly but am struggling to get any real traffic to my blog. My latest post got more interest on Instagram than here and I REALLY don’t know what I’m doing on there! :p
Any ideas on what else I can do? My blog is here-
