The place for feedback, advice, and blogging camaraderie.
Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.
Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

Feedback is appreciated! It seems like a lot of people on wordpress are writing about artists, but I’m not finding a lot of blogs by artists themselves. Maybe I’m not looking in the right place.

I like the blog and the writing, the latest post was well written and a joy to read. I might suggest a little bit more color, though – the blog itself seems really black and white for such a colorful writing style.

Gorgeous photography, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to navigate the site. I want to see more, but it seems like the only navigation I can do is through the links at the bottom which is a bit confusing for me.

I looked at the one on your top three boro matches. The writing seemed to work for what you are doing. The post was well-organized and easy to follow. You might want to remove the extra lines between paragraphs. One should be enough instead of the two or three that seem to be there. I didnn’t see any tags on the post. Using tags might help others find your posts. Another thing to explore is categories. Using categories could help visitors find the types of posts which would be of most interest to them. https://gracelead.co

Hello everyone, I’ve just put up a new post written by our vocalist, where we did a Q&A with our whole band. It should hopefully be quite entertaining, and it’s quite long so I’ve split it into two parts.
For Part 1 click here: https://purgatoryprobably.wordpress.com/2016/11/15/blog-5-qa-part-1/
For Part 2 click here: https://purgatoryprobably.wordpress.com/2016/11/15/blog-5-qa-part-2/
Any feedback is appreciated; I am continuously looking for ways to improve our blog, and our writing. Thanks a ton in advance! I hope everyone has a great day!

Your observation is fascinating. I wonder which of the world’s languages is best suited to express emotions? I doubt that it’s English. Of course, English does borrow words from many other languages. That may give it some advantages 🙂 https://gracelead.co

That was a nice read. Here in United States, some pundits like want to privatize “entitlements” like Social Security and think health care is a privilege. But there is proof that social programs can help people stay out of abject poverty and in fact supplement incomes for the working poor.

Hello, I’m Shmaltz and Menudo and I run the blog of the same name. My blog has a featured post series based on well-known sayings. This week, I published “Famous Sayings: #36 — ‘Lucky Number 13.’” A few of my followers have already found the post, but some more feedback couldn’t hurt.

Given the length of the post and that the title is “Lucky Number 13,” it might be good to have the unlucky aspects of 13 be a separate post. https://gracelead.co

Thanks for the feedback. I think I might keep the unlucky parts, but move the Friday the 13th bits to another post. I might save it for next year, since January starts on a Sunday.

A dark-colored (pardon the spelling, I’m American) blog like yours can really benefit from colored pictures. Case in point: compare your post on coloring books with the one on cold remedies. See what I mean?
Alternatively, should you choose (and the WP community would love it if you did) to keep and write in this blog for a long time, you may want to consider how to make the front page shorter. This is where an afternoon in the Customizer would help. Spend an hour, maybe two, getting to know your theme, how it behaves, and so on.
