Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?
The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:
- Learn, a series of step-by-step tutorials for those just starting out.
- All our posts on building an audience and growing your traffic.
- If you’re stuck for inspiration, here are our Daily Prompts and other ideas for writing topics.
- A roundup of posts on blogging etiquette.
Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.
To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips and guidelines you might find useful:
- While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
- The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once, as well as for not starting numerous threads in a single Pool.
- If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
- We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother. Also note that including multiple links in your comment might automatically put it in the moderation queue, which will delay its publication.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
- To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
- If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
- No running on the deck.

I love the layout of your blog! I will say the font is extremely small, so it made some posts hard to want to read, but that is just my opinion. You have a follower in me!

I didn’t realize the font was small, thank you!

I read your Connections post and think you made some good points. The story of the banquet tables in heaven and hell was a perfect illustration. I agree with Sam Kinzie that the font size makes it difficult to read. Other than that, the layout is fun and friendly. https://gracelead.co

Hello 🙂 after an extended absence from blogging I’ve come back with a bit of a different post (trying out a new style) and I was wondering if someone could have a quick read and let me know if it is actually interesting? Also, I’d be thrilled to receive any feedback on the visual design of my blog as I’ve just changed it 🙂
Thanks xx

Overall, the layout looks good to me. Your Procrastinator post had much interesting information. I agree with you, that there is not one best way for all people when it comes to productivity or creativity. https://gracelead.co

Hello. I started the Blogging 101 course to improve my gardening blog (www.thedailygarden.us), but have decided to focus on my writing blog instead. I have hundreds of informative articles that I wrote for a now-defunct writing website and want to share what I learned while improving my blogging skills. You can see what’s up so far at https://katerussell010.wordpress.com
I hope you enjoy it!

Overall, the look is good and the posts are easy to read. I noticed that you have put some posts in Categories (writing, government). If you put the Categories in your Menu, then visitors could select the category of most interest. https://gracelead.co

I never really gave my audience enough consideration before. This assignment helped me see just how many possibilities are out there (at least, the ones that came to mind first). How is your audience different from mine?

What I found intersting about blog audiences is that I have my intended audience plus my surprise audience. I write for my intended audience, but have noticed from visiting the sites of my followers and those who comment, that some are not what I expected. Of course, all are welcome. The blogosphere is so vast that you never know who may find your site.:-) https://gracelead.co

I’ve recently been incorporating original music along my original writings. I would love feedback on the posts and how they fit overall with my theme. Thank you!
