Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Are you redesigning your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

The Community Pool is for peer feedback and advice. Looking for more specific information? Check out some of these resources:

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Looking for free, self-guided courses to help you get started with your blog (or revive a dormant one)? Check out our current offerings at Blogging U.

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

Are you a new blogger looking to share your very first post? We have a special forum for bloggers just like you in our weekly First Friday posts.

  1. Hey I just started my blog and started writing my first post. Looking for some feedback as to if it sounds ok so far. Want to make sure I’m not rambling before I add to it. Second- layout and navigating this site…is it bc I’m using my phone (and not the app) that I’m having so much trouble? I’m just using straight chrome. Anyways here’s my link! z

    Hey…it’s me, fallonzoey

    1. Hey Zoey! No, no rambling yet! I like these types of blogs anyway.

Navigation seems fine on desktop, and I actually think your site looks great on mobile. If you mean that the backend where you type your posts is hard to use on mobile without the app – I would agree! But the site itself looks great.

    2. Hi! Your style of writing is very natural and easy-to-read, so that’s great! And, like 83unsungheroes said too, this kind of blogs are always nice to read, so keep on going!
You might want to edit your website further, by the way… Good luck!

    1. Hi, your blog is visually pleasing. It would be great if you work more on the navigation and customization part though, once I was on your about post( I think you should turn it into a page though) I could not go to the previous post. so you might want to add some widgets like categories or latest posts. If you need and assistance in customizing the blog, the Blogging U has an amazing course regarding the same: https://wordpress.com/dailypost/blogging-university/#intermediate-customization
do visit it. Overall, your blog looks nice. Happy blogging!

    2. I fully agree with amruta00487! The blog looks great. Also, I think your story is very convincing about the quality, and very praising in general! It might be a real motivation to check out the restaurant, for people who live around.
I also really like how you make this review personal, engaging your family and all. That makes it way more interesting to read than just a straight review, meal after meal. I would defenitely read more of your blogs, since I am quite a foodlover myself 😉

  2. I’m trying out writing for a humor blog : https://neatblogtitle.com/. I’m wondering if you could help me with something.

Is the blog hard to navigate? Can you find posts and pages alright? Do you like the content? Is is it funny? Is it obvious that not all the posts are not in the “personal blog” – that some are in different portfolio sections?

Thanks so much. I’d love to hear from you! I’m working today, but tonight or when I have free time, I’d be happy to help with your blog!

    1. Hey Chase, I think it’s a very good post! It was smooth and well paced and easy to read. I’ve left a comment about the subject matter on the blog rather than here.

    1. I agree with 83unsungheroes. First, decide the purpose of your blog. Then write a few words about that on your About page. If you’ll be doing more poetry posts, Poetry would be one of your Categories. If you’ll be doing more travel posts, Travel would be another Category. It’s okay to have just two categories if that will be your focus. Of course, you may have other things in mind which would be fine too. https://gracelead.co

    1. It appears that a couple of Categories could be Food and Entertainment. Personally, I’d like to see another post about your faith (possible category), perhaps something that happened recently that helped you feel closer to God. https://gracelead.co

I always love feedback and helpful ways so I can become a more effective writer.
