Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

      1. Thanks. Glad you liked it. 🙂 I wish I can reach out to more… though I am not anti-technology and gadgets but somehow I feel there is a strong need to bring more outdoor activities than letting our kids trapped with gadgets. 🙂

  1. Hello everyone,
I feel extremely grateful to have come across such a wonderful place via WordPress. And this world I have created is called “This is my life!” I write short stories, poems, reviews of the books I have read and sometimes I just share my thoughts with my friends here on WP!
I’d really like if you would tell me about its structure and also the content.
My latest post was a review, you may have a look here https://rasheedsyeda.wordpress.com/2016/03/14/my-dream-man-by-aditi-bose-review/
    Thanks anyways!
Do check out my blog https://rasheedsyeda.wordpress.com
    Thanks and best wishes.

  2. How funny: I’m a triathlete who really struggles with the swim. I saw the headline and thought “oh cool – there are other endurance athletes popping up!” And then I read further. 😉

My blog is a training journal. I sometimes post links to individual posts, but I primarily write it for myself. I will confess to being thrilled when someone comments on my blog, though.

  3. Hi bloggers, bloggites and all the inbetween.
I’m fresh on the scene and started my daily blog a few days ago, and I would love for some feedback. I realise that the conversational writing style I have may seem a little strange, but it’s the way I like to add flavour. Check out my journey of discoveries at Nobody Musings:

I look forward to some critique, and to reading some of all your material and returning the favour!

    1. I seriously enjoyed your posts…I tend to ramble at the best of times and was able to follow your brain waves and assorted meanderings quite easily….and yes, I read everything you have so far written. Hope you don’t mind an old fart of a follower… http://www.suziland.net

      1. Suze, that’s wonderful to hear! I also enjoyed your post from today – history has proved time and time again to repeat itself!
        I appreciate the feedback!

      1. Thank you. But that’s only on cover page to give you and idea about the content. you can click and check out pictures in each post, you’ll be happier -there is no text on picture. Alternatively you can visit media folder placed on right side margin, it only hae pictures. do let me know if this helps. thanks once again.

  4. Hi everyone. I’m glad I can get some feedback on my food blog! I just don’t know how easy it is for people to navigate on my blog. Some have told me it’s really hard to find where to “follow” on it. I wouldn’t mind some feedback on the photography and dialogue of my posts as well. I’m considering paying for the upgrade. Thanks!

    1. HI, not a foodies and although I’m a photographer food photography is not my thing. Howver I like the hpoto’s, some are very well done. What kit do you use for them? Do you use a macro lens? If not it could be very useful for getting a good level of detail in the close up image’s you take.

    2. WONDERFUL blog. It was quite easily navigated and I found that pesky follow button easily too. The layout is gorgeous, terrific pictures.especially that beautiful baby! following you now as you made me drool until I thought I’d drown! http://www.suziland.net

    3. Yours is a super-nice food blog. The “follow” isn’t hard to find but it’s pretty small for such a jam-packed front page and on that basis you might want to make it more obvious. Is there an “About” page somewhere? The apparent absence of that seems glaring to me, your site is nice enough that readers will be looking all over for it.

  7. Hey there everyone! I just wanted some advice. I finally finished the initial draft of my very first children’s book. I’m super excited about it, but dreading the revision stage. I just wanted any tips or suggestions on this stage as I realize how critical it is. Here’s a link to my blog: 7thtimesacharm.com

    1. For the revision stage of your book, I say enjoy it. I remember that stage of publishing my first poetry book and I wished I would have enjoyed the process more than I did. I will be checking out your blog shortly. I’m wishing you great accomplishments during your publishing process of your book.

    1. Your layout is good! Although I personally prefer blogs that have recent posts on the main page, but since it’s just a preference, I don’t really feel like I can say that that’s the “right” way to do it. One thing you might consider are the images on the main page, because at first glance, it kind of looks like you have rock candy poking out of a soup-type mixture, which didn’t look super appetizing to me. Maybe try switching them! Other than that, I really liked it!

  8. I think I already commented but I can’t find it (Sorry) Lol. But this is such a cool site, and very awesome idea to share our ideas and blogs with each other! I am new to blogging, but a friend of mine suggested it to me. To help share my knowledge on pet-based subjects from strange behaviors to feeding and nutrition tips, and basically to do my best to answer YOUR questions ! If you are interested in my blog or have questions, I’ve only got one post up right now (For new/long time cat owners) But plan to post more – as per request possibly 🙂 My blog is https://mypetadvice.wordpress.com/ and you can find my post on the home page! Thank you everyone, you all seem so friendly and I’m hoping I can find some people here who share my interests! Art,acting, and mental illness (depression/anxiety/ptsd) are also some topics I may occasionally post aobut but I have not decided yet.

  9. I would love some feedback! I’ve been working at it for a few months now looking to find my voice and style. I’ve gotten some response on a few but there are crickets on most. Haha. If anyone has any advice or thoughts, I’d love to hear them! 🙂 Thanks y’all.

    1. I like your layout and your background. It might help if you wrote a bit more about things that you’re passionate about, because then it’ll hit home with other people’s interests and they’ll be more likely to read the personal stuff.

    2. Agree with the comment below. Nice Layout and background selection. In my perspective – When I get to know myself, that which I call myself and explore myself honestly for myself, I will bring in those that are on the same vibe 🙂
      Happy Blogging!

    1. Your blog is bomb! I loved that you had very diverse posts, it didn’t feel like one type over and over again. I like that you really keep photographers in mind too.

      1. No, I loved it. I know most people prefer to have one or two niche themes for their blog, but you seem to able to pull off more broad stuff, so I’d say if that’s what you’re enjoying then keep doing it!

    1. well, the about page is nice. Now, it is time to create posts. in your editor go to the posts and select add new. then just start writing. Please be sure and edit it, and you will notice glaring spelling errors the minute you publish it without checking…I know this from personal experience. lol be sure and tag the post before publishing with words that describe what the subject matter is so a search engine can find it all. Add categories as needed. you don’t want someone searching for “car styles” and ending up with an entry about politics. Have fun. http://www.suziland.net
