Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Hiya!
I’ve just started a new blog and have experimented with both a text post and some pictures. I’m not really sure what the main focus of my blog will be yet but I want to try writing something every day!

  2. I have just written a brief post that I feel pretty good about and I would appreciate it if you could give me some feedback. I am specifically interested in your thoughts about:
    the theme
    the effectiveness of the humour/tone
the layout of the page (are the photos laid out effectively, is the paragraphing consistent)
whether or not it resonates with you

  4. This is my first blog, so I would love to get feedback!

    What is this?

I have tons of journals about people, poetry, art… you name it. I wanted a place to organize my thoughts and see which topics get the most attention. I would love to develop these thoughts into a book and maybe even find like-minded people to collaborate with.

I am not a seasoned writer or artist, so any criticism is welcomed.

  5. Hey everyone! I recently put up two posts I would love feedback on if you’d be willing and so kind. I write about addiction, abuse, feminism, problems in the world today, and much more. I like to mix it up 🙂 So any feedback, advice etc. would be much appreciated and of course I’ll return the favor 🙂

The first one I’d love some feedback on is: https://misfitspirit.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/this-is-your-relationship-on-drugs/

The second is this guy here -> https://misfitspirit.wordpress.com/2016/03/16/my-last-high/ (This one actually fed off of another I did for a daily prompt!) That one is https://misfitspirit.wordpress.com/2016/03/15/my-first-high/

Again j would love to hear your thoughts!
    Much love

  6. 1. What is the ideal time period between 2 consecutive blog posts?
    2. Which are the most popular (and safest) topics to blog on?
    3. How do I make my blog post viral?
    4. Should I worry about my follower count? In other words, are the number of my followers directly proportional to the number of likes/comments/shares I get?

Also please check out my blog https://annnaaammm.wordpress.com/ and give me your feedback.
    Thanks:)

    1. You write very, very well 🙂 And good for you for finding an outlet for the worries that would, otherwise, swirl inside your head…bringing our struggles “into the light” takes some of the sting out of them…and, what you write about is so relatable 🙂 Thanks for sharing…I’m “following” you 🙂

  7. Morning all. Really trying to generate ideas on layout or feedback in general. I write fiction that edges toward supernatural, horror and the psychology of the mind. Is it any good? Not for me to say really.

Really would appreciate anybody taking a moment to have a look and comment. I guess this is the scary none confident part !!

  11. Hey! I have a blog that focuses on PTSD, anxiety and my journey with them! I just wondered if you could take a look at my content and offer me feedback. Positive or negative it doesn’t matter I just feel as if my blog is missing something at the minute. Thanks in advance

    1. While my journey is different from yours, some of what you said rang true for me. There are some holidays that I choose to ignore. Well-meaning people apply pressure to get me to participate. I’ve learned that complying makes things worse for me and doesn’t add any value for them either. Now, I simply thank them for the invite and politely decline. http://gracelead.co

  12. Hi there, come check out my blog. I only entered this brand new world on Saturday, and cannot get enough. How freeing it is to express well, whatever with zero rules! I have been a college student for way too long, so writing a blog is therapeutic to say the least. I can be as creative as I want, and have it labeled artistic, rather than ummm “wrong”. So, here’s to rebelling against the structured writing style I am forced to comply with in University, cheers! Here’s my link https://thoughtsbyamodernwoman.wordpress.com/

it comes. Some days are good while some even better! But each day brings with itself a new set of experiences, new things to learn.
