Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Did you just start blogging and you’re not sure how to get going? Has your blog been dormant for a while but you’d like to give it a jolt of life? Join our free Blogging 101 course (or any of our other offerings at Blogging U.).

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

I like it! I especially love the quote at the top. Very meaningful and true. The purple border is a nice addition. I would recommend to continue writing and enjoy the experience 🙂

    1. I enjoyed reading your post. I like how you linked it with how we also are. Good read. I like the layout you chose as well. It’s quite fitting 🙂 The only thing I’d suggest is if you updated your About page so that viewers can better understand your blog and connect with you more personally. Other than that, you’re doing great!
I’d appreciate if you also took the time to take a look at my blog and let me know what you think! Thanks in advance 🙂

    1. Enjoyed your posts as they are very relatable! 🙂
The theme you chose seems to go well with what your blog is about however I do suggest creating unique titles for each post as it would give the readers an idea of the post. Great work though! Keep it up!

    1. Congrats on joining the wordpress community 🙂 So far so great. I like the layout that you chose because it’s very clean and crisp. I liked your header as well haha. I had fun reading your most recent post and I couldn’t agree more to the list of reasons you put about soulmates.
Sure you did just start, but who cares! There is no such thing as dreaming too big. I wish you the best of luck!

  5. Hi all! I’ve recently started a blog mostly about parenting and being an over involved mom, but also about my struggles with eating. I would love some feed back and followers and am happy to return all favors :-). I know we are all in similar situations. I would like to know if what I’m posting is easy to read and if my posts are too long. And any other feedback. I tend to be a little wordy but I’m trying to figure this all out as I go along! Thank you so much!!

    1. Hello,
I enjoyed going through your blog. The layout you chose gave me no trouble navigating around 🙂 It’s very clean and concise. I read your most recent post about highschool and I enjoyed it. It’s very thought-provoking. It’s how I felt when I was in highschool haha. I’m glad that you’re thinking the way you do. You’ll definitely be ahead of the game then most people your age. Anyways, keep it up. You’re doing great!
The only thing I’d suggest is if you made an About page so that viewers can better understand what your blog will be about and they can connect with you more personally. I wish you the best of luck!

    1. I love the posts on your blog. I’d suggest updating your About page as this is a great way to introduce people to who you are and what they can expect from your blog. The theme is nice and clean and easy to navigate. Well done for starting and good luck with the Blog!

  8. I have created a new blog, again, to get back into my writing groove. I would love for you to check it out. The blog resulted from my current participation in PiBoIdMo (Picture Book Idea Month). I keep my writing ideas for the thirty day challenge in my spiral notebook. However, I write about my progress in the blog. Who knows, I might make it my regular writing blog.

  9. I would love feedback on my blog. Just starting. Sort of a journal about things that happen in my day. I’m a mom who has a problem with over parenting and has problems and is in recovery for compulsive overeating. Are my posts too long? Would love more followers. Trying to come up with topics that will also attract a wider audience! http://www.overinvolvedgenxmom.wordpress.com

    1. Hi Jkgutter, I appreciate the journey you describe in your content and gave you a follow. Your posts aren’t too long, but one of the criticism that I have received is that paragraphs that are too chunky are hard to read, and I think it might help you to break up your paragraphs more too. Your posts as a whole don’t seem too long to me, there are no wasted words. Finally, I would put spaces between the words in your blog title to make it easier to read.
