Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. Hey Jenny,

Love what you have on and honestly, I don’t really see anything negative that needs to be pointed out so far so thats good. Your writing is good, your site looks clean and the use of images is very nicely fitted in as well!

Btw, for a young girl, your blog looks promising so I hope you keep up the good work so far and I will be looking forward to your future posts 😉

      Talk to you again soon!

      Your pal,
      David Long

  1. Hey everyone, I know I am a little late to this community pool, but if anyone would give me some feedback on my latest post. It’s my first suspense/horror/dark story. I’ll also give feedback! Thanks!

      1. Hey bud just checked out your blog. I like it as everything is set to minimal so its easy on the eyes to view.

However, for your latest post, I noticed that you didn’t include paragraphing for your sentences and everything is clammed together. I’ve read other posts by you and they were actually separated into paragraphs so I’m guessing maybe you forgot to do that for your latest post. It’s hard to read if you don’t do it so just a feedback.Writing style though, I think it’s fine. I am interested to see what happens next actually!

I feel that your blog is missing a few things. An Archive widget for your readers to view old posts by you. Also, an “About Me” Page. People want to know who they are “Listening” to! Should get to include one asap because usually, when someone visits a website, they head to the about me page after arriving at the home page and viewing a few content.

Everything I’ve mentioned are just my opinion so don’t have to do as I say. I’m just letting you know how I felt about your site while browsing through.

Anyway, I like your blog. My experience there felt nice so that’s awesome. Keep the good posts coming btw 😉

        Your pal,
        David Long

Your blog’s interface is really slick and clean btw. Easy to read and couple that with your writing style, overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. Hope this helps inspire you to write even more because you are good in it bud 😉

  2. Hello everyone! Glad I found Community Pool 🙂 I am also new here. I love to write, but am not such an expert on formatting or driving traffic from one social media platform to the other. I would seriously appreciate any feedback (positive or negative) that any of you experienced bloggers have to offer! Learning while doing 🙂

  3. Hey everyone!

We’re some new guys on the block writing a fiction blog. If you’re interested in anything fiction for a quick read, then we may be able to at least fill up around 10 minutes of your day every weekend. We also have a thought of the day section which is updated everyday on twitter and on the page, so you can follow us to keep up if you like our quotes XD

We would love to hear your feedback on our blog overall so feel free to look through it and drop a thought. Thanks!

    1. Gave your blog a visit and most definitely liked what I saw. It’s such a good blog, I think I might have flooded your notification though. 🙂

  4. Hi!

I am looking for experienced people to critique my About page for my blog. I am new to blogging, and I haven’t written anything much since my school days.

I also have a technical issue with my custom theme. The headline for my About page is showing up on the same line as my top menu. This seems to be only when viewed on a PC. I have tried scaling my photo down to 800 x 535 but it doesn’t make a difference.

Thanks ahead of time for the input,

    Kay

  6. It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I just introduced a new page on my bucket list journey of planning to see Download Festival in 2017. I’ve put together a wishlist of bands to see. Stop by and let me know what you think and if you’re keen add your own picks in the comments 🙂
