Thinking of giving Blogging 101 a try this August? Come on in! You have a few more days to register.
Note: this is the same Blogging 101 course previously offered by Blogging U. Feel free to take it again, but be aware that we’ll cover the same topics.
The next edition of Blogging 101 begins Monday, August 3. Join us to grow as a blogger, learn your way around the blogosphere, and make some great new friends. Registration is open until the course actually kicks off.
Thanks to everyone — the teachers and the other students — for a wonderful time that truly felt well-spent. I learned a lot, my blog is set up much better, and I have doubled my followers.
Blogging 101: Zero to Hero — August 3 – 21
Blogging 101 is three weeks of bite-size blogging assignments that take you from “Blog?” to “Blog!” Every weekday, you’ll get a new assignment to help you publish a post, customize your blog, or engage with the community.
You’ll walk away with a stronger focus for your blog, several published posts and a handful of drafts, a theme that reflects your personality, a small (but growing!) audience, a grasp of blogging etiquette — and a bunch of new friends.
How Blogging U. Works
Blogging U. courses exist for one reason: to help you meet your own blogging and writing goals.
- Courses are free, flexible, and open to all.
- You’ll get a new task to complete each day, along with our best advice and favorite resources. Do them on your own time, and interpret them however makes sense for your specific blog and personal goals — we’re not grading you, we’re not checking to make sure you complete every task, and there’s no “wrong” way to use the resources we give you.
- We’ll send you a new assignment via email each weekday at midnight GMT. Weekends are free.
- Each course will have a private community site, the Commons, for chatting, connecting, and seeking feedback and support. Daily Post staff and Happiness Engineers will be on hand to answer your questions and offer guidance and resources.
Registration is now closed. To see what’s coming up in September, visit the Blogging U home page.

Learn the art of blogging

I used to like learning a lot and don’t mind sitting for a long time to digest the lesson. What I don’t like is, I just feel like this is a competition instead of a helping community. Why don’t we feature a blog each day (akin to a case study) then everybody reads and suggest how to improve it.

The daily posts have community pools wefts people do this.
The blogging U I feel is more of a learning space with lessons and case studies are provided too

I tried this last year and I was super excited to be involved. I learned a lot of stuff and met many new people but I find that its hard to write up a post every day for a certain topic!!!

Any chance of getting Photo 201 or Poetry 201??? I learn a lot from these courses and they are a great inspiration to keep posting new material. I appreciate all that the WordPress experience provides, but that obviously doesn’t stop me from wanting more…

I am exuberant for this opportunity for many reasons. I know that the actual design and format of my blog is not the best it can be, but I also want to develop a sense of community. Right now I feel as if blogging is very…solitary.
all the best,

It seems that Paul Revere Elementary School needed more space for the students, and they had an overflow of unused workbooks taking up space, so they decided to toss them. Now, let’s talk about Worksheets for Pre School created by David Dolphin and how it might help you. Some other good sources of tips for educational play with your child in preparation for the test can be found at The Test Tutor and Testing – Mom.

Entirely new to the blogosphere so looking forward to gaining more insight to the nuances and etiquette involved. I also hope to be able to engage with other ‘newbies’ along the way.

There are plenty of newbies that are in need of blogging 101 training. For some, this is a refresher.
