Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once! We tend to delete duplicate comments asking for feedback on the same post.
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • When leaving comments, please remember not to add your blog’s url as your signature. It’s kinda spammy: after all, your handle links directly to your blog.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Hey guys – So, I’ve just posted my first ever blog review and I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to give it a quick read and tell me what they think. I’d really appreciate it:

Can You Sell A Country? The Atom Station Review

Is it too long/boring? Honest feedback is always welcomed and even returned if you want! Thanks again lovely people 😀

  2. Hello fellow bloggers,

I just wrote a new post about turning off your autopilot switch. This is one of the more difficult posts I’ve had to make and would greatly appreciate any feedback! I’ll be sure to return the favor and give you feedback on your blog(s).

    Cheers folks!

    1. I love your bold header. I got distracted as I was reading by the “switch” art and quote from Wilde. I think of “autopilot” literally as a pilot who isn’t engaged in flying because a computer is doing it. Perhaps it would have been better if the Wilde quote was under the title without the yellow box. Your post was a call to action but it took we awhile to get there.

  3. Hello wordpress world!!
My name is Anna Rose and I’m currently 15.
I used to blog a lot over the summer, but with the start of freshman year, time has not been on my side.
I’m commencing my blogging hobby once again, and I want YOU to be a part of my journey, I want YOU to experience the hardships of high school with me, and I want YOU to give me opinions and advice on growing up.
I will be posting new stories soon.
    Please check me out!
(PS don’t judge old stories… I’ve matured A LOT more in my writing since 8th grade!)
    Thanks so much!
    XOXO,

    1. The first thing I noticed is that your URL is not understandable. I don’t even know if wordpress lets you change that, but you’ll get more referalls if people know what to call your site.

  4. Hi everyone! Hope all the blogging’s going well.

I’d like to humbly ask for any feedback/reviews you’d be willing to offer. My focus has always been creative writing, so here are my two most recent poems:

(Also, not to bribe anyone, but the corner has a selection of baked treats 😉 )

    Thanks in advance!

  5. I would be grateful to get some opinions on https://cognitivereflection.wordpress.com/ – I generally just write what comes into my head here although there is a few “planned” posts that I schedule.

Something that I thought about today after looking through some other posts on spotlight is that there are not many images on my blog, do you think it looks too wordy and would benefit from pictures? My only worry is where to get pictures from that match the theme of the post.

  6. Hi everyone, Ive been writing a blog of my experiences as a British woman who has come to live in New York in my middle years. I originally started writing it to keep all my friends in Europe updated on my experiences and impression, and then started to add posts on music and language . I would love some feedback on whether it sounds ok ( is it tedious? ) and my layout which is not particularly professional . Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

    1. I like twenty ten theme. However, I can’t give deep feedback about the items posted as I don’t live there. If I were you, I’d align the picture of each post left on the beginning of the post

    1. I gotta say that your design is pretty simple and minimalist, and I usually don’t like think kind of things but in this case I think it’s appropriate, the only thing I don’t like is the header, it doesn’t give the idea of what your blog is about.

  7. hi guys 🙂 I would love it if you could give me feedback about my blog, specifically whether you could relate to it and what the posts made you feel . I’m a nascent blogger with absolutely no experience and feedback would truly help me grow into a better writer, i hope 😛

  8. Hello! I was reminiscing those olden days when communication was through mails before there were any apps on our mobiles to connect faster..
Would like to hear some review if my view is correct. After all, the old adage, ‘Old is Gold’ still stands true..

    Yay! I got a mail!

    Thank you all! 🙂

    1. I totally agree with Jennifer, I would try to use more pictures and a colorful theme, because I think the design doesn’t reflect the subject of your blog, if that makes even sense..
