Attend a new conference for bloggers from WordPress.com
We know you do amazing things with your blog, and we want to help — no matter whether you blog about your passion, your business, your family, your travels, your musings, or even tonight’s dinner. In addition to the awesome challenges, interviews, and tips you find here at the Daily Post and the great courses served up at Blogging U, we’ve got a new way to help you improve your WordPress.com technical know-how and stoke your blogging fires.
Daily Post readers get a 40% discount on tickets to Press Publish events. When you register, use the coupon code DAILY40.
You’re invited to Press Publish, a blogging conference organized by WordPress.com, coming to Portland on March 28 and Phoenix on April 18. This is the first event ever organized by WordPress.com just for bloggers, and for Daily Post readers, we’re offering a 40% discount on tickets: just use the coupon DAILY40 when you sign up!
We’re putting notable WordPress bloggers on stage to talk about how they found success. Mary Laura Philpott started with an anonymous blog to share her quirky sense of humor and wound up with a book deal. Erick Prince-Heaggans‘ travel blog led him into a successful career as a photojournalist and travel writer.
Following each blogger’s talk, the people who bring you WordPress.com will take the stage with bite-sized, useful tutorials about tools and features that our featured bloggers used to their advantage, like picking the right theme for you, getting the most out of your upgrade, and how to best use widgets, SEO, and social media.
We’ll also have a full track of live Blogging U workshops, taught by some of the people you know from these hallowed halls, like Cheri Lucas Rowlands, Grace Park, and Longreads editors Mark Armstrong and Mike Dang.
Check out the full schedules for Portland and Phoenix!
Each event will also have an all-day Happiness Lounge, staffed by real, live Happiness Engineers and other WordPress.com experts, where you can get one-on-one help with your blog or just relax and chat with other bloggers.
And because we want you to get the most out of WordPress.com, every ticket comes with a one-year WordPress.com Premium upgrade — a $99 value — that you can apply to your site.
We want everyone who attends Press Publish to go home wildly inspired and armed with plenty of new tools to blog with more confidence than ever before.
We hope to see you there! No matter what you want to achieve by blogging, inspiration and tools galore await when you Press Publish.

I’m from Portland, but blogging and living in Nicaragua with the Peace Corps. I hope this kind of event may come back around to Portland in a couple of years. Thanks for continuing to support us, all around the globe!

I blog for a hobby, but hope to go pro. As a SPA blogging Buddhist the Happiness lounge sounds really good to me! I also would love to visit friends in Portland and check out Kevin Selfe, an awesome Blues guitarist, and eat one of those voodoo donuts :O …I will have to meditate on this. BTW, I am already a premium user, so is it free?

If you already have Premium, then the year of Premium you’ll get as part of your Press Publish ticket will extend your Premium plan for another whole year! 🙂 I think you’ll get a lot out of this event; we’d love to see you there!

This would have been the ideal conference for me because of my struggles with the technical side of blogging. living in the United Kingdom as I do I am unable to attend. Wishing all the best to those who will be able to attend.

I’d love to attend an event like this, but even though I live on the Canada-side of the Pacific Northwest, the cost of travel plus the event (appreciate the discount thought) just makes this unachieveable for me.
That and recently discovering that I’m unemployed means I need to ensure every dollar is spent wisely until I find that next regular paycheque.

How about coming over to India some time. I’m not sure how many Indians are WordPressers, but I assure you the event would be interesting. Mumbai, Jaipur, Alleppey, Goa…you would be spoilt for venues. Looking forward to meeting you guys in person some time. Till then, thanks for making our blogs tick.

It hardly matters if someone’s passion for blogging help them chose a career for themselves. Blogging is an art to present ones emotions and it is an amazing tool to stay accountable to your life. Wish we have such kind of events organized even in India. Looking forward for it wordpress.com !!

Great. There’s an enormous WordPress community here, but not that many that specialize in WordPress.com. I actually teach this version at a local community education program and would love to hook up with more members of the .com community!
