Thinking of trying Blogging U.? Sign up today!

Blogging U. challenges help you grow your blog and find your community. Get started with Blogging 101 or Photography 101 this November.

Our Blogging U. challenges are great ways to grow your blogs, your skills, and your networks. Two new challenges begin in November: another round of our popular beginners’ challenge, Blogging 101: Zero to Hero, and the first installment of a brand-new challenge, Photography 101: A Photo a Day.

Both are month-long challenges starting on Monday, November 3 and ending Friday, November 28. You’ll get a new assignment and inspiration each weekday:

  • In Photography 101, each assignment presents a new photography theme and tip — we might share thoughts on the rule of thirds, tips on how to crop images, or advice on working with available light — to inspire you and help you grow as a photographer.
  • In Blogging 101, we focus on publishing posts, customizing your blog, and engaging with the blogging community, with an eye to learning the fundamentals of WordPress as we go.

In each challenge, participants also have access to a private community site, the Commons, for chatting, connecting, and seeking feedback and support. Daily Post staff and Happiness Engineers will be on hand there to answer your questions and offer guidance and resources.

And as with all Blogging U. challenges, Photography 101 and Blogging 101 are free and open to anyone — new or veteran, WordPress.com or Tumblr, experienced photographer of fledgling phoneographer.

To sign up, fill out this quick form and indicate which challenge you’re interested in. You’re free to participate in both, but we recommend one at a time — both challenges will be offered again!

Please note that you will not receive an automated confirmation, but you will get a welcome email with more detail before the challenges begin.
