Blogging and Writing 101 Start Monday!

Still on the fence about participating in Blogging or Writing 101? Last call to hop off and join our merry bands of bloggers!

If you’re interested in developing your blog or working on your writing but aren’t sure where to start, then welcome to Blogging U!

Our next offerings start this Monday, September 15. Blogging 101 is a month of bite-size assignments to help you build up your blog, and Writing 101 is a write-every-day challenge to help you build a writing habit and push you as a writer.

Blogging U. challenges are completely free, and a whole lot of fun. We’ll offer our best guidance and resources, and you’ll complete the exercises on your own time and in a way that works for you. Each challenge also has its own private community site for feedback and support — a great way to make connections that will keep you inspired and motivated.

Both challenges kick off on Monday. Fill out this quick form to register; you’ll receive a welcome email on Monday, and you’ll find the first posts for each challenge right here.

Thanks for your interest! Registration is now closed, but both challenges will be back again later this fall.

  1. I’m really excited to go through this journey with all of you! I signed up for both… I hope that’s acceptable. I just really want to grow as a writer and a person.

    1. Sure! You’ll probably get less feedback from other bloggers who are unable to read Portuguese, but you can do the assignments no matter what language you blog in. (Note that the assignments will all be in English, though.)

  2. I don’t have a blog yet. I want to do the challenge to see if blogging really is something I can do. Is that possible?

    1. Blogging 101 isn’t really doable without a blog — the assignments all assume that you have one, so I think you’d feel a bit lost.

Writing 101 is different, and you could use the assignments simply as private writing practice. But, that wouldn’t really tell you if blogging was something you can do.

      Hope that helps!

  3. I registered for both because they both seem interesting and I love writing [: wondering though, will Blogging 101 be a sort of writing assessment too? Or more focused on tips for our blog site as a whole? Either way, I’m looking forward to both!

  4. I have been a blogger on and off for years. Yet I have never felt my writing is always up to scratch. Maybe it is a confidence issue or maybe I just need some inspiration and a push in the right direction.

So I have signed up and can’t wait for a bit of guidance.

  5. Is it possible to join both? Last time there were some prompts I didn’t like and I thought maybe I could choose to do one or the other (or both) everyday and still benefit from the community of aspect either way. I tried to register for both but it doesn’t seem to be working.
