Community Pool

Don’t forget the sunscreen: it’s time for this week’s Community Pool!

Have you just published a new post and are dying for some feedback? Did you recently start your blog and could use some layout or design advice from your more seasoned peers?

Tap into the wisdom of The Daily Post blogging community and leave your question here in the comments. Others can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

To help us make the Community Pool a productive space for discussion, here are some tips you might find useful:

TIP: To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.

  • While you’re not required to, we encourage everyone who requests feedback to also reply to at least one or two other bloggers who need some help. Spread the love!
  • The Community Pool comments section can get quite big — and starting duplicate threads doesn’t help. Thanks for not posting the same question more than once!
  • If you’re looking for quality feedback, be as specific as you can. Questions about a particular post tend to draw more comments than ones about entire blogs. Questions about specific design elements are more likely to be answered than ones asking for general layout advice.
  • We discourage leaving links without a more substantive message or question. These are often overlooked by other bloggers, and we frequently remove them to make the comment reading experience smoother.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. The idea is to have fun — it’s a pool, after all!
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • No running on the deck.

  1. Loved the post “Things that make us Go click”. You have asked for comments from viewers, but I don’t think comments are enabled on it. Please rectify this,

Also I had posted something in response to today’s daily prompt. it is particularly close to my heart, would you care to critique it? there’s an abundance of responses today so I guess my post is a little lost in the melee! Thanks.

Here’s the link to my post.

    1. Thank you for letting us know! There was some strange glitch with comments there, but they’re now switched back on.

  2. Hello everyone,

I’ve been working on this blog for several months now. Postings are an eclectic mix of humor, essays, and some pretty personal reflections on trauma and mental illness. So, perhaps not for the faint of heart, but if anyone is curious, here is my most recent post, which is a satirical job resume of sorts:

Thanks for clicking, and I’ll try to reciprocate / check out some of the other blogs on here! Cheers.

  3. Hi there!!
I’m writing a blog about Game of Thrones and I would like to have your feedback. It is not easy for me to write this blog, because I do not have a permanent Internet connection, so I would appreciate your help.

I have already written 2 posts. My main intention is to compare the TV series with other staff, like videogames, manga and anime.

I am looking forward to reading your opinions! The URL of the blog is http://gotandfreak.wordpress.com

  4. Okay, I’ll try again. I’ve started a story-telling blog and would love some feedback. Seem to get a fair number of visits, but very, very few comments, and I’m not sure why. This is so far one of my favorite stories.

  5. Good morning,
I notice the number of followers I have has changed because Facebook followers are no longer included in the stats. Is there a reason for this, and if so, why? I would prefer that they were counted, as they had been. I sent this question to support, but I don’t always get a response from them.
    Thanks in advance.

  6. New here, I’d love some feedback. Possibly followers…oh the ambition lol! My blog is about parenting, marriage, home life and the down and dirty of raising a family and attempting to be perfect when you are far from. Thanks guys!

    1. I like your most recent post about forgiveness. I can relate, as I have had a situation lately, in which I had to forgive many people who hurt me.

Overall, I like your blog. I will be following.

  7. Hello! I wrote some sort of tribute regarding the blockbuster movie ‘The Fault in Our Stars’, having been greatly moved by it and simply because I love every bit of it. It was really poignant so I felt the need to vent out. I had a great time writing so I hope you have a great time reading as well.

P.S I’m still quite unfamiliar with the blogging world so I accidentally entered my comment more than once in the guise ‘claudiaphrodite’ but the URL was wrong so I used my Facebook instead but now I don’t how I could delete the comments….sorry!
    I really appreciate your feedback!
