Community Pool

The Community Pool is for those of you looking for input, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else. If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment . .

  • You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.

  1. I just joined and I would like some feedback on my blog; good or bad. I want to be able to help people with my blogs. Any feedback would be great.

    1. Hi- I see your blog is about food and recipes. The first post had a beautiful format. I found the title enticing and the post- short, crisp, tempting and informative. I think it would be a great idea to add some pictures/colour to the blog layout. That would help your readers know about your theme at first glance and make your blog more appealing to the eye, for it already is to the stomach! Good luck! I look forward to reading more from you!

  2. Hi guys. I write a sewing+lifestyle blog, and I’m trying to see if anyone knows any sites or information on how I can create a custom header (preferably for free). Any help on how i can do this would be appreciated. If possible, I’d like it to be easy without unfriendly coding as I’m not that tech savvy.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hello everyone. I have started at podcast (Good Life Central Oregon Podcast) and I want to add show notes to my blog/website (www.goodlifecentraloregon.com). What is the best way to have separate podcast show notes without using the blog on the site? Pages? Categories? Any other suggestions? I appreciate your help.

  5. Hi! Name is Joelle and I’m totally new to blogging. I’m not even sure if my pages show up here or just Facebook. I’m looking for someone to help on focus. I have a thousand things I want to explain in my blogs but I don’t want them too lengthy. Fitness and eating? Only one? I’m telling the tale of someone who never ran a day and isn’t in great shape to hopefully someone who is. I want it real and personable. Can someone give me some input? I’d really appreciate it!

  6. Hello everyone. I’ve been blogging for about a month about my world adventure. The whole concept of blogging is still very new to me. If anyone feels like it could you maybe look at my blog and give me any constructive feedback on writing and layout? Thanks a bunch.

    1. Hey. Your blog is great! I love the idea of a round-the-world trip (and well done for saving so much money!). Writing and layout are fab; easy to read and navigate, and all round just a pleasure to read. Also, your profile photo – LOVE IT!! Enjoy. x

  7. I hope I’m in the right pool here. I simply want to ask someone to please check if my site is loading properly. (I tried all the WordPress support tips:clearing browser cache, etc).
I see my last post (the 20th) and March 14th. Several posts in between are missing, but appear in the archives: http://seediving.wordpress.com/2014/03/
Your feedback will offer another clue how to solve this.
    Thank you so much!!

      1. That helps to know! That could mean it’s a local ISP issue that will resolve on its own (I hope). Thanks for the clue!
Thanks for your generosity in checking!
