  1. Greetings folks! Hope I’m in the right channel to bring this up….

I think the option for infinity scrolling should either be taken off the dashboard or automatically disabled when users are browsing via mobile. When activated it can actually become a nightmare especially if the blog you’re visiting is an image heavy one or simply of many years old with loads of content to read through and getting to their menu or widgets at the bottom could take forever.

Michelle’s entry is so timely as I was just expressing on this in my own site today ( http://shoot2blog.wordpress.com/2014/02/24/to-infinity-beyond/).

    Just my feedback. Thank you.

    1. I think the option wouldn’t hurt. They could even just do it for the WP reader app, making it another reason to use the app more than just the website via mobile outside the app.

      1. Thanks! I really appreciate your opinion! Seeing as English isn’t my first language and I have just learnt how to write in it a few years ago, so this is a huge compliment for me 🙂 xx

  3. I would love input in the quality of my photographs. I am doing this for my 4-h project and I feel it would help me win over some quality points if I had feedback and more followers. Thanks!

  4. to anyone that reads this-answer me this-
Why bother writing or blogging when someone can just make a video, or create a blog full of gifs without actually having to take the time to describe things with words?
i am asking purely out of curiosity and not to put down opinions or create sides of differing opinions. if you could please reply in the “Leave a Reply” section on my blog just to keep all of the comments together, that would be spectacular!

    1. This post would work far better if you were to go into the post question and provide your own side to it or at least explain why you feel it is a legitimate question. In my opinion, the question is not legitimate as you are assuming that people would rather watch a bunch of gifs and videos over writing 100% of the time. You should really feel compelled to make sure the reader isn’t forced to explain a position you very well could have with enough research and effort.

Show why the question can’t be answered easily or objectively, why you care about the question, and what you have done already to answer it yourself. The reader doesn’t read your posts to answer questions, they read your posts to get answers to THEIR questions.

      1. I appreciate the feedback– but it really was just an open ended question- and I was genuinely curious about the answer from either side. I wasn’t looking for a lesson on how to ask a question.

    1. I enjoy the angle you have taken, you seem very passionate about your arguments and you are very concise too. 🙂

For your latest post you went very sensational with the header, then you didn’t really back it up. You did bring up interesting points, but none of them came close to “outsourcing our humanity”.

  6. Photo credits…. Is it best to credit your OWN photos? What do you write exactly? “Photo credit: blog name” or “photo by me” or “photo credit: my name” …. Does it make a difference?

    1. Okay, if you have a mixture of photos, I would simply credit each one with either by them or by you…the reason is that if you are going to use offsite photos, you want to make sure it is clear which ones you took and which ones are yours. Better safe than sorry!

      1. Thank you 🙂 I’ve downloaded an app that let’s me add text to pics on my phone so I’m going to add my wordpress address to my photos from now on (and go and change some others eventually) even with this should I still have “photo by me” somewhere in the caption etc or will the picture text be enough?

      2. if you can put photo by me into the photo that should be fine…though at that point you might want to put photo by and your wordpress address, or just your url by itself like you did with the P AIR picture. That way anyone using your photos would be advertising for you and then who cares if they steal the photo right?

    1. Hi! I checked out your blog and I love the theme that you chose. Clean and colourful, but not too much. What I’m missing is an idea what your blog is about, what kind of posts I can expect when I visit your blog. I think that can easily be fixed by a bit more info in the about page. Good luck with your blog! 🙂

      1. Thanks for the feedback San, I will definitely try to tweak my about up to give more of an idea of what to expect on the blog. I’ve checked yours out and I must admit I fell in love with the concept of it and well as the pictures. I felt as though I was traveling the world along with you, lol. Love it, keep up the good work! 🙂

    1. The blog looks great. I like how many reviews you do. My only minor suggestion would be that you could use a little division between the posts. Sometimes it looks like the posts sort of melt together. Otherwise, good job!

    1. Hi! I checked out your blog and I think it looks great! Appealing header, clean layout, posts are of a good length and there are plenty of photos to liven them up. 🙂

    1. Hi! I don’t think you need to choose between the two. I like a bit of variation. The posts have a personal touch in common, so I’d say keep it up. I lol’ed at the snowy dog! 🙂

  7. Hi there! I started blogging at the beginning of this year as a new year’s resolution: to have a happy place on the web and share my love for travelling (New Zealand in particular) and photography. My aim is to blog once to twice a week. So far, it’s giving me a great feeling, but I’d love to know what you think of my travel and photography blog. Please share your comments? http://travelsan.wordpress.com/
