Community Pool

The Community Pool is for those of you looking for input, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else. If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment . .

  • You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.

  1. I tried to install the new google two stem authentication security. It did not work, kept requiring me to put in subsequent auth numbers every time I wanted to use my account. Then I tried to disable it and it still will not allow me to log into WP, my own account, or to comment or like other posts. I’ve tried multiple times. WP has not answered the email for help that I sent two weeks ago. Can anyone pls help?

Increasing traffic to a blog is hard work. If you want your blog to rank well in search engine results then that begins with creating and publishing original content ie. unique content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Once you have that down the top two ways to increase traffic to your own blog are commenting meaningfully on blogs with similar content and becoming active in social networks. Twenty Five Steps to Increase Blog Traffic

  5. So is there some sort of maximum thoughts that can be used to still consider a blog a…blog? I start writing and can’t stop, intervention?

Also, I have quite a few tags to my page. It may first appear to be misleading or confusing, but I want some one to be able to find the exact blog they need at any point in time.

    Thoughts, suggestion

    1. I think it’s quite nice – it fits to your blog and I think it portrays your style. I find it no problem to navigate, so I think it’s user friendly. 🙂 Maybe rename your page ‘stuff’ because I think it doesnt really fit to call it ‘stuff’. – hope I could help

  7. Hi all, wondering if anyone has any nuggets of advice for me? I’ve been film blogging for a couple of months and would love to hear anything you think could be improved about my blog. Sometimes I feel like my layout is a bit too ‘minimal’, so would love any advice on that also. Thanks all!

  8. Follow me if you enjoy creative writing. I have posted a few poems and various tidbits of future works. I also enjoy reading other fellow bloggers info, so I will be browsing especially those that share traveling, eating at various restaurants, and of coarse writing. Stop by and I will do the same. Peace..Oh ya., have fun life is to short.

  10. Hello WP friends.

We’re about to complete a full year of blogging on 34kiwis.org. It has been an exciting ride so far and we can’t wait to continue with writing.

My question is: How can I make my posts more community friendly? We’ve place much thought into how each post flows, organized and engaging as we can. Or so we think. We get many views each week, but still.

Also, what template do you believe would work best with 34kiwis? What do you believe we are about?

Thanks in advance for your time!

    1. Hello, knowledgemaven. I’m not quite sure what kind of feedback you were looking for, but I personally quite liked the blog. I love the idea behind it. And yes, if the writing is aunthentic enough and resonates with the audience, there’s no telling what it can accomplish. Followed you as well ! Looking forward to hearing some tales of success. – Q

    1. Yes, it is possible to change your site’s apperance. Just go to your dashboard, and on the left hand menu, towards the bottom, you will see something called ‘apperance’ which, when hovered upon, expands to show you different things you can change about your blog. You can go into each of the options seperately and change what you would like to about your blog. Hope that helps! 🙂 – Q
