Community Pool

The Community Pool is for those of you looking for input, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else. If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).

Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment . . .

  • You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling.
  • Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.
  • If you haven’t looked at our Commenting Guidelines in a while, now might be a good time.
  • To keep from losing your place in the comment thread while you visit others’ blogs, right-click on a link to open it in a new tab or window.
  • No running on the deck.

    1. Hello,

I do see the image, no problem. And I have to say I liked it. You can tell you not only wrote about some detail that came to your attention, but you didi your research on it, and we can all learn something and I can say I now find elephants even more special than before!

  1. Hey! New to this, got some feedback from friends on facebook, but they’re all too kind to give much criticism. I’d love to get some feedback from people, I’ll happily return the favor! illgettheresomeday.wordpress.com

    1. Hi Nicole, I am not a mother or a doula, but I really like your website. I think the visual aspects are clean and allow the content to shine, and I look forward to seeing how the site comes together when you have more articles posted. My only suggestion would be to remove the standard “About” tab, since it seems left over from when you picked your theme. I don’t think your posts are too long. Once you have more content, I’d play around with the widgets on your right sidebar to see what’s most useful for readers (you might want one with recent post titles, for example). I also would love to see a tab on the menu with resources/links related to birth advocacy. Very nice work! –D. Allen, http://thebodyconnected.com

  2. Hello everyone!

I’m new to wordpress, despite having kept a blog a while ago. My problem, if I can call it that – and besides learning to navigate wordpress and struggling with the right widgets -, it that I write in Portuguese, and I’m having trouble finding others that do the same. So if there’s any blogger out there that usually writes in portuguese, please let me know!

  3. Hi –
Look for some general feedback on my blog, how it looks, what should I improve, etc. I tried a slider to do featured presentations a few different ways and one way failed and the other crashed my computer. So I gave up on that. I need to work on my consistency…I started off the year OK, but then I tapered off and it really shows. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
