The Community Pool is for those of you looking for input, whether on post ideas, writing, blog design and layout, or anything else. If you have a post, page, or idea you want to bounce off someone, leave a comment. Your fellow bloggers can then click through and offer input either on your site, or in the comments here (feel free to indicate which you’d prefer).
Read on for the ground rules and to leave a comment . . .
- You’ll get the best feedback if you can be as specific as possible about what you’d like people to respond to or where you’re struggling.
- Please keep all comments civil and constructive. We’re here to help and support one another, not to beat anyone down.

I was a little confused about the age of the narrator. At first it seemed like a young child, but then I gleaned it was a young girl, and then I wasn’t really sure because the name of your blog is “brandonsmommy” so I thought maybe it was an adult. I guess it was because I couldn’t really see the age/sex of the person in the picture, at least on my laptop. Hope this helps some!

Thanks for the feed back. I will have to see how I can make the age and sex of the narrator more clear.

The name of your blog is difficult to pronounce and I don’t really know what it means. I like the look of your blog and your use of photos and bolded numbered items. I gathered, after some reading, that your blog is reflections about your journey as a religious leader. Maybe you might put an FAQ up explaining what makes up your exact role – Ordinand, I think it was? I’m not familiar with its meaning and probably others aren’t as well.
LikeLike
Thank you Xina for your helpful comments. Bo-ru-ach-el-o-(h)im actually means ‘Come Spirit Of God’ in Hebrew. I like the idea of a FAQ page or glossary maybe, as you are correct some of the terms might be unfamiliar e.g. Ordinand = Trainee Vicar. Glad you liked other bits and took time to reply.

One thing I would add is the ability to bulk schedule in HootSuite. You can upload a CSV file of upto 50 tweets at a time which can be a huge time saver.

Looks simple enough to follow. You missed a word here though “getting (the) hang of it.” I work as a part-time CSR so I appreciate the tip. Not that we need to schedule a great deal of tweets in our center. Hope I was able to help you.

The only thing I saw was a few spelling errors. Do you use spell check? Also, the title “The Hidding Place” is that meant hiding, as in hide and seek? If so, it would be “Hiding.” Please let me know if this is what you were going for! =) Overall, your blog is really nice, and I enjoy your writing.

I think you’re off to a good start for a new blog, but if you’re trying to get your writing to “take off,” as you say, it might help to give your audience some sense of what you’re trying to do with your blog. For instance, I like your title, but I really have no idea what it means based on what you’ve written so far. You’ll probably attract more repeat readers if you can give them a handle to connect with, an idea of what to expect they’ll get when they “follow” you. Does that make sense? Even if you just say it’s a random hodgepodge of things from your life, that gives us an idea of what you’re trying to do. Or if you have a more focused niche you want to fill, share that instead.
I hope that helps! Keep it up!
