What is your biggest frustration about driving?

Topic #246:

What is your biggest frustration about driving?

Is it people who don’t know how to merge? Or the ones who leave their turn signals on for decades? Maybe it’s simply the horrors of a daily commute in traffic? Identify your biggest annoyance and explain why it frustrates you so much.

  1. When people
….suddenly drive faster so you can’t merge
    ….don’t yield
…drive too slow, especially when I’m in a hurry
…turn on their signals at the last minute
…use their cellphone while driving, hence not paying attention to the road, and being a annoyance
…stare at an accident and make traffic slower than it usually is

  2. Cyclists who cycle in the middle of the road and won’t pull over to let traffic past. I’m also a cyclist and very conscious of holding people up; I always move out of the way where possible.

  3. I live in Southern California and I think we should have a min and max speed for each lane on the freeway. As an example…. the lane all the way to the left (except carpool) 80 mph to infininity, the lane just to the right 70-80, the lane just to the right of that 60-70 and the lane all the way on the right hand side is THE SLOW LANE PEOPLE.

  4. i’m bothered by peope who won’t recognize that i DO own the road. j/k i am actually bothered by those who don’t use common courtesy when driving. also, going down the road at a little better than limit, some car comes up behind, slips into the other lane, speeds up to get in front of me almost cutting me off. it doesn’t matter there is no one behind me, they just have to be first. grrrrtrr

  5. i think the biggest frustration is when someone in another vehicle is talking on the phone/putting makeup on or something and they dont pay attention to the road and act like your not even there, like their the only one on the road, its un safe. also when people dont pay attention and they cut you off out of no where>

  6. Just drivers are frustrating. It’d be better if we all walked everywhere and took our time a bit more. Better for stress levels and the environment.

  7. I love this topic. I reside in Atlanta and it seems so many people drive the way they want to and not using the skills they obtained from the DOT Driver’s Manual. I don’t like when people don’t use precaution and consideration for others. I can’t stand for someone to drive on my bumper as if it will make me speed up , especially at night when their lights are shinning dead set in my face. I can’t stand when truck drivers drive in the fast lane when they are no allowed to be there outside of passing. Remain to the right lane if you are slower than everyone else. When merging, don’t go from the far left lane to the fast lane without proper lane change. I find myself having to breathe when I drive in Atlanta and I am come from a small town when the MPH is less than 45 in town. Oh, how I love to go home.
