  1. I started PostAWeek2011 in April 2011 and I’m enjoying every moment of it. I’m a newbie blogger so I didn’t think I could handle daily posting. I love the daily/weekly prompts, especially photo prompts which I’m having fun with. Meeting other bloggers has been great too. There’s so much talent out there and I’ve been inspired to keep writing. The weekly deadline gently pushes me to write.

  2. I started doing my Post-a-Day in May – daily fiction writing. Its purpose is twofold: to get me in the habit of daily writing and to try and push my creativity. Some days it’s great fun, some days it’s a burden, but I’ve been doing my best to keep up with it. I’ve made nearly 100 bits of flash-fiction, created people and companies and cities and worlds, and it’s all been good fun. I enjoy seeing recurring themes, recurring characters, and watching them develop under my fingertips.

There is a hole in my progress, though. I went on vacation in August, home to see family, and my whole writing schedule just fell right to pieces. It looks like my muse cannot tolerate interruptions in the schedule… *smile*

  3. I can’t deny I’ve missed some days this past few weeks because of my examination and due to my hectic schedule of practices at school and church. Most of the time I went home late, like 12 mn past that’s why the post for the day will be posted the next day which is a minute late only, but I was able to participate still on what is the topic of the day (though late :D). I really enjoyed writing my opinions as well as the photo challenge which really boosts my mind of what a brilliant photos should I post since its a challenge.

  4. Started around the end of July. I’ve been able to keep to my goal of 500 words a day (on average). I’ll only use the hashtag if I use the prompts, and only use the prompts if I have nothing else to say on the day, sort of like a auxiliary gas engine on an electric car. Even though I’m not writing fiction on my blog, the discipline of the #postaday2011 is helping me to gird my loins for NaNoWriMo. I’m glad I discovered this, albeit a little bit late in the year. Thanks!

  5. HA! I was posting every day since I began in September 2010, and when you announced the new deal, I went back and re-tagged all my 2010 posts “Post-a-day 2010”, just for the fun of it.
The reason I try my hardest to post every day is that Linda Fulkerson said to. And she recommends WordPress, so she must know a few things about it . . . 🙂

  6. Started 01/01/11 — Postaweek2011 — 58 posts YTD — Thankfully, I blog about what I love: movies. Though, my weakness is, I like watching movies more than writing about them. So I fall behind easily. : )

  7. Scrolled up and read a comment, several times, that I totally agree with: I love the weekly photo challenge! Just love it. Never was much for photography, but have begun studying it and caring about it much more.

  8. I have known postaday2011 since January 7, 2011. But I decided to participate in postaweek2011. I can’t find a constant rhythm in posting my blogs because I am not online most of the time. So I settled to PostAMonth and I’m trying to post at least once a week.

  9. I joined the Post a Week Challenge at the begining of this year, and I’ve kept on posting regularly ever since. I’ve loved the experience, because I’ve learned a lot about blogging and specially because I’ve had the amazing experience of seeing how my posts are read in different countries. I really like getting the comments and I enjoy posting on the Daily post blog as I find this topics really refreashing. Four more months to go might seam a lot, but I’m really sure we all can make it to the end of the year. Cheers!

  11. I started postaday at the end of January, and I love the challenge of coming up with something to blog about every day. Some days are easier than others, especially the ones after a great adventure, but the days that “nothing” is going on are sometimes even more fun! Those can be the most creative, I’ve discovered.

  12. I started this at the beginning of the year hoping it would get me writing more because that was my goal. So far it seems to be working. 😀

  13. I believe I started in late June. But here is the thing that I just did! I caught up—now if you look at my blog I have blogged every day from 1/1/ til 8/31 :–). I often did the actual daily post topic, but sometimes I selected my own topic instead. I have been having fun trying to catch up with the superb bloggers that have been going strong since 1/1/11. Here is my link for the blog itself: http://believeanyway.wordpress.com

  14. I started mine on August 14th and I love the reaction I am getting from my blogging friends. It’s amazing how someone appreciates my entries and actually spent some time leaving their thoughts, making joining the Weekly Photo Challenge a very interesting thing to do to kill boredom… I love both Post A Day Topics and the Weekly Photo Challenges. Great job guys and thanks very much… 🙂

  15. I started on day one but after about three weeks decided I would only focus on subjects I found interesting or were relevant to my blog subject matter.

I must admit I’ve had a lot of fun re-interpreting some of the subjects (e.g. The question “what is the smallest thing near you?” I re-interpreted to post about nanotechnology concepts in science fiction).

  16. Nov. 10, 2010– my first post. I’m posting for entertainment, entertaining myself in retirement. Reliving the memories of a lifetime that, fortunately, I recorded in travel journals. I especially like being able to post pictures above my writing and having postaday2011 give my blog recognition on the revolving WordPress page that recognizes all postaday posts. I’ve enjoyed reading and “liking” the people who read my blog and the people who don’t read my blog. Thanks for this opportunity. It rocks!

  17. I started on Aug 25, 2011, so I am a little late to the game. I am new to blogging and I thought this would be good motivation for me to sit down everyday. It feels very theraputic. I report for another website, but blogging is nice because it’s my unique voice. So far I am able to keep up the daily posting. Keep your fingers crossed!

  18. I started on Jan. 1, 2011 but I didn’t put the badge on my site and post that I was participating until later in the year. I’ve enjoyed the challenge. Coming up with a fresh new image every day has been difficult but it has given me discipline. First thing in the morning (after 2 cups of coffee) I sit at the computer and give it my best shot. So far, I don’t think I’ve missed a day. If so, it was because of illness.

  19. I joined Post-a-Day on February 15–I didn’t realize I have been blogging that long! I have occasionally let a day go, and there was a space of time when we moved and had difficulty getting our internet back up in which I, of course, was not blogging. With that, my post total is up to 177 today.

When I signed up for WordPress, I originally intended to blog once or twice a week, but I have greatly enjoyed the daily challenge. I believe it is helping my writing to improve as well as challenging me to keep in constant touch with my readers.

I enjoy finding relevant topics to share and occasionally presenting my own variation of the prompt to suit my blog. The Weekly Photo Challenge has been especially fun to be a part of, as well.

  20. I was attempting to write something every day in December of last year and when I heard about Post-a-day 2011 I decided to try it for the whole year. I’ve made it most days; missing a few here and there when my computer went out. I have a few blogs I’m currently working on so if you add them up I’m sure I’m pretty close to 100%… Still chasing those perfect marks even after graduation! I’ve enjoyed the challenges and grown as a writer, photographer and overall blogger! THANKS WP 😀

  21. I started in January and my postaweek is going well – I have missed a couple of weeks here and there due to holidays but most weeks I’m putting in two or three posts. I sometimes use an idea suggested here but mostly post about things that interest me and match reports of my football team’s games. I usually take part in the weekly photo challenge and always enjoy looking at the other bloggers entries – its amazing how diverse some of the responses to the challenge can be 🙂

  22. I really fell of the wagon for July and August, but I’m working 12-hour shifts deployed to the desert editing 5,000-8,000 words a day. If I even see a comma at the end of the day, I want to scream. It’s a Herculean effort to even write one tweet after that. I have a better feeling about September.
