Who was the first person who believed in you?

I was once married to the friend of Rick Sailors and Mary Little Doe – Mary Little Doe is Roy Rogers and Dale Evans adopted daughter. They all invited us out to Bakersfield and Apple Valley, Ca. where Roy and Dale lived. I knocked on their door…. Roy opened the door and said, “well, you did’nt catch me with my pants down – but, you caught me with my boots off.”

Roy was my crush and hero from the time I was a little girl. I told him that I wanted to be a singer and that I did’nt think I could because I was too shy. He told me, “you can’t let a little thing like stage fright stop you from doing the things you love most.” “Just get back on the horse.”

I’m not a famous singer – but I do sing in public whenever I can. Thanks Roy for the encouragement!
