Topic #207:
Would you ever get a tattoo? If you had one, what made you decide to get your first? If you don’t have one, why or why not would you ever consider getting one?
According to one survey, 36% of American’s aged 18-29 have tattoos, the highest number in history.

I do not have a tattoo and I will never get one .. Why?
Old Testament law , “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28).

For me its a big NO since I’m studying and soon to be working on the medicine field which is we have to keep the cleanliness within us especially in our own selves which we have to impress the patients who are trusting their selves to us to cure and take care of them without having any doubt.

Yes I would love to have one! I’m getting my first in 2 years – when I’ll be 18 years 🙂 I’m addicted to tattoos since two years from now! I think that it’s an art – that’s why I want to get one. No to attract attention or whatsoever!

I do not have a tattoo and the reason for doing so is the absence of logic in piercing ones skin. It seems unreasonable to get a star or some form of artwork on ones body. Of course there in lies the debate, the decision to get a tattoo is solely dependent on the individuals decision but my gripe is why? So often I come across a “tramp” stamp or tribal sleeve and I wonder if this art has any significance other than it looked cute. Not to mention the ironic tattooing of bible verses but this argument is for another day. My words are not out of disgust or to belittle any one person but simply to strike ones psyche as to why an individual would do such an action. Society? Cultural influences? I do not know but I would not get said tattoo.

Not being remotely religious automatically gets rid of that rather silly argument against for me. And the argument of ‘well when you’re older you will regret it’. No way.
My tattoos all have meanings behind them and I designed them all myself and I will never regret getting them.
I have one that is in memory of a friend who passed away. It symbolises everything we went through together and what I went through after she died. I will never regret that tattoo in the same way that I will never forget her or hurt any less.
So I love tattoos. I love what they say about each person who has them and I know that mine will always hold a huge significance for who I have become.

No. I think nature skin is much more beautifull than what people do white them.

Actually hoping to get a tat soon, of a dragonfly. Just have to decide where on my body. Don’t want it constantly visible, so I’m thinking back of shoulder.

No. I like tats, their cool sure.. but whenever i think about it, i think of two things.. (1) if i get it on my hip, if i ever want a child it will stretch and look really strange.
(2) how will it look when in 60 years and it turns all wrinkly?
