Want a blogging buddy? It will up your morale

Two WordPress.com bloggers, Ashkir at Stars In Silence, and Kate at Spastic Musings decided to team up to help each other out. They both signed up for Post A Week, with the goal of encouraging and checking in on each other:

Me and Kate are going for the postaweek2011. 🙂 . We decided we’ll help motivate each other and we started up different blogs side/by/side.

The buddy system works on the principle of social connections. If you have someone else you’re doing a project with, odds are good at any moment at least one of you can help motivate the other.

If you’re looking for a blogging buddy, Do the following:

  1. Leave a comment to this post saying “I’d like a buddy”
  2. Briefly (1 or 2 sentences max) describe the kind of blog you have (the theme or topic)
  3. Say whether you’re doing Post A Day or Post A Week
  4. Mention you’d like to try sharing the goal with someone else

Alternatively, if you see a comment for someone that fits your 2 and 3, reply and mention you’re interested. Then follow up by contacting each other on your blogs.

You can help out by:

  • Checking in on each other’s blogs
  • Leaving comments and feedback
  • “liking” posts you see each other publish

  2. I’d like buddies – I really need to become more consistent in my blogging at least ONCE a week.

    My blog is about music, self-enrichment, popular news, reviews of everything from make up to restaurants, travel/tourism, literature, the US military, psychology, recipes, and the every day life (without too much “about me junk”) in Colorado and California.

    1. I like your blog. If you want, you can check mine, too. I blog about things that happen in my life, from a humorous side (sometimes you can, sometimes it’s just not possible) . Also, sometimes I write thoughts about book I read, or classical music. Anyway, I’ll be subscribing to your blog. Just curious for now… 🙂

As I say that, I realize that we work toward that kind of relationship, but in reality, we are more just Dom/Sub due to life! I am interested in blogging about my life in general.   10. I’d like a blogging buddy, or buddies!

    My blog is about pretty much everything. I didn’t want to choose a topic because I didn’t want to narrow down the things I could talk about, like things that happen at my job, school, at home, on the road, on the internet, well you get.

    I love to write and my goal is to establish a routine. I have been blogging since March 2011 and I am still figuring WordPress out so I buy books to help me work on my page and my topics.

    I hope to become someone else’s buddy too.

  13. If anyone still pops by this post, I would gladly subscribe and read/comment/encourage you and your blog if you’d care to do the same.
    I am doing post-a-day and there’s a bit of this and that thrown in with my main theme, which is my art. I am a mixed media artist who is trying to get gloriously famous while living the best I can in the meantime.
    I love to write and frankly, if I didn’t feel like I was writing to myself all day there’d be so much more I’d share. Anyone else get that?

    I’m a screenwriter, sometime ammeter film-maker/photographer and an artist (I draw mainly.) I see a story in everything; a song, a picture, a voice… So I’ll write pretty much about anything and post it up here. I’ll sometimes even post up some of my own work to see what you guys think.

  17. I would like to have a blog buddy for next year since this year is almost over. I would like to post every alternate day starting from the next year. My blog was basically about teen stuff, but nothing’s been happening. I’m open to trying photography, journalism, anything that can happen with blogs.

  18. I would really appreciate a blogging buddy. I’ve written a series of blogs themed “Overcoming Obstacles While Irony Slaps Me In the Face.” I Am Disabled and in a Wheelchair Due to MS. I Started Writing a Series of Life Events, Occurrences and Anecdotes of What It’s like Being Disabled. There’s More to It Than Meets the Eye. Ultimately, I’d like to Further My Writing into a Book.
