setting up a domain

  ok so excuse my ignorance i have never done this before.
  I went and created my blog as we all do.
  I then decided to get my domain name registered which it now is.
  Now I want to change my domain to my new registered domain name instead of satnetdigital.wordpress.com to satnetdigital.com.au.
  what I would like to know is do I have to get this domain hosted first or does wordpress do this itself.
  I have paid the $13.
  Can someone help please.
