Rotating Weekly Spotlight Block?
-
Hello,
My site is for a college radio, and I want to have a weekly spotlight for each of our DJ shows. Is it possible to have a rotating set of graphic/text blocks that changes every week? Preferably not randomized/I can personally choose which is displayed at that time while the rest are hidden. Or if they’re not hidden, can they all be on the same slideshow but just with one highlighted by default and then readers have the option to scroll through the others?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To create a weekly DJ spotlight for sitesupedu.wordpress.com, you can use a Query Loop block or a Slideshow block to feature specific graphics and text while keeping the rest of your roster accessible. The most professional method involves setting up a “Spotlight” category for your DJ posts and using a Query Loop filtered to display only one post; this allows you to change the featured show simply by toggling that category on a new post each week. Alternatively, if you prefer an interactive scrolling option, a Slideshow block lets you manually order your DJs so your chosen spotlight appears first by default while allowing readers to click through the others at their own pace. If you are on a plan that supports the Site Editor, you can even save these spotlight layouts as “Patterns,” making it easy to swap out the entire design in seconds without losing the hidden “backlog” of previous DJ features.
