Persistent Instagram Cache Issue – Grey boxes on Jetpack Block
-
Hello,
I am using the Free Plan and I’m having a persistent issue with the Jetpack Instagram block. It keeps showing deleted images (grey boxes) from my account @pixel.joel.
I have already tried:
- Deleting and recreating the block.
- Clearing the code in the Code Editor.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting the Instagram account.
It seems to be a server-side cache issue. Could a Happiness Engineer please manually clear the transients and the Jetpack cache for my site?
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I’m not sure how you created that page, but this is what I see on your insta page instead of an image.

When I click on that, I land on an Instagram error page.

Maybe an Instagram feed would work better for you? https://wordpress.com/support/latest-instagram-posts/

Thanks, “This is an image I deleted from my Instagram profile is still appearing in the feed on my WordPress site as if it were cached or stuck. It has been quite some time since I deleted it. I have already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Instagram account and followed several AI suggestions, but nothing has worked. I need to remove these ‘ghost’ images that no longer exist on my profile.”

Hello again, Did you try disconnecting, removing the block, saving the page and then reinserting the block and reconnecting? Or changing the settings of the Instagram block in the sidebar?
Let us know how that goes.
Regardless, I’ve gone ahead and tagged your forum thread for staff assistance.
