Major Performance Issues, Help needed ASAP

    Dear users,

First off I am not a programmer and have just beginner knowledge of fixing website issues. However with your guidance, maybe I’m able to make some small changes.

My main issue on the site relates to this: On Feb 21, 2026, 1:02 AM (UTC) The server responds in 2443ms and is thus too slow, recommended is a maximum of 1000ms (Performance is D in Page Speed Insights)  It takes 14 s to load 2 s code)

I’ve attached several images I received from running tests below. What are some quick solutions I can implement on my own? Thanks for your help.

The critical performance issues on purcraftea.com stem from a combination of slow server response times and excessive JavaScript payloads that delay the page’s “Largest Contentful Paint” to over 14 seconds. To fix this without coding, you should focus on reducing the 3.29 MB page weight by compressing images and implementing a caching plugin to handle the heavy server load. Additionally, activating a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and utilizing a tool to delay unused JavaScript will prevent render-blocking requests from stopping the site’s visual elements from appearing quickly for your mobile users.

Thank so much James! You’re a big help. I’m concurrently working with Woo support on my issue.

My question is, for compressing images, would you recommend the plugin Jetpack Boost, or is there a better option for the value?

For the CDN, I’ve tried to enable Quic.cloud services through Lite-speed cache plugin but it fails to link. Cloudfare is another option for CDN and I can actually turn that on through the cloudfare API. Should I sign up for the cloudfare account instead and insert the API keys/token? By the way, heres the message from Woo Support:

you have several performance-related plugins installed including SpeedyCache and Seraphinite Accelerator. The timing you mentioned (after optimizing with LiteSpeed cache) suggests the performance issues may be related to caching configuration conflicts.

Looking at your site setup, I can see you have many plugins that could impact performance, and several need updates including SpeedyCache, Elementor, and WooCommerce itself. Let me help you troubleshoot this systematically.Immediate Steps to Try1. Update Your Plugins

Your site has multiple plugins needing updates, including performance-critical ones:
    – WooCommerce (always update this after other plugins)
    – SpeedyCache and Elementor (both can significantly impact performance)
    – Jetpack and other plugins

Before updating, ensure you have a full backup. Then update third-party plugins first, followed by WooCommerce.2. Check for Caching Conflicts

Since you mentioned the issues started after LiteSpeed cache optimization, you may have conflicting caching systems:
    – SpeedyCache (active on your site)
    – Seraphinite Accelerator (also active)
    – LiteSpeed cache (mentioned in your optimization)

Having multiple caching plugins can cause serious performance issues. Try deactivating SpeedyCache and Seraphinite Accelerator temporarily to test if this improves performance.3. Test for Plugin Conflicts

With 25+ active plugins, conflicts are likely. Here’s how to test:

Before proceeding, please ensure you have a full backup of your site and are testing in a staging environment. The following instructions are provided as a guideline and may not work in all setups. Proceed with caution.

    1. Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Five)
    2. If that helps, contact your Astra theme developer
    3. If not, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce
    4. Test performance – if it improves, reactivate plugins one by one to find the culprit

    Additional Performance OptimizationsImage Optimization

Since you have 12 products, ensure your product images are optimized. Jetpack Boost can help with this automatically.Memory and Hosting

Check WooCommerce > Status > System Status for any red warnings about memory limits or server configuration. You may need to increase your WordPress memory limit.Useful Resources

Try the plugin updates and caching conflict resolution first, as these are the most likely culprits based on your description. If you need help with the technical steps or want someone to perform the conflict testing for you, please reply to this email and a Happiness Engineer can provide more detailed guidance.

I hope that helps! If you have any additional questions or my answer wasn’t helpful, please respond to this email.
