invalid post type

  I’ve signed up with an external hosting service to transfer and host my blog. Today I got the following email:

  >I have initiated the transfer and it seems that WordPress.com is dumping an invalid XML file (maybe), here’s the log: http://i.imgur.com/uydy7.png

  >Is it possible for you to contact them and have them export the correct XML file?

  The error message in the log says “invalid post type”. I’ve searched and seen other people have had this issue, but I haven’t seen a way around it. Any thoughts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The posts in that log do have a normal post type. Could you try to activate the Pilcrow theme before importing the file? I’ve just sent you a new export file :)

  Thanks for that. I activated the Pilcrow theme as you suggested, and then tried installing the new export file you emailed me (thanks!) and still no luck… :(

  There’s not that many posts, so maybe I can just do this manually, one by one.

  I’ve just tried to import your file into a self-hosted test site, and it worked. Could you please make sure you’re running the lastest WordPress.org version. Otherwise I recommend contacting your hosting provider.

  FYI they’ve tried reinstalling and different servers and all sorts of different troubleshooting options and still no luck. At this point i’m calling it quits and will just transfer over the posts manually… at least there’s not very many. Thanks for your help.
