Help with Pluggin Update
-
Hello, we received an email from The WordPress Team about a plugin failed to update. The plugin is : Mailster – Emial Newsletter Plugin for WordPress ( from Version 4.1.15 to 4.1.16). Before we attempt to manually update the Mailster plugin, we wanted to confirm whether you recommend performing a file backup beforehand, or if there are any specific precautions we should take to avoid potential issues? Thank you. Better Health Naturally

When manually updating a critical tool like the Mailster newsletter plugin on bhnformulas.com, you should absolutely perform a full file and database backup before proceeding. Because Mailster handles sensitive data like subscriber lists and campaign logs, an update failure from version 4.1.15 to 4.1.16 could lead to data corruption if the database migration is interrupted. Before you begin the manual upload, ensure that any active email campaigns are paused to prevent “cron” errors, and verify that your Mailster license is active, as licensing conflicts are the most common reason for failed automatic updates. If you are on a WordPress.com Business plan, verify your most recent Jetpack Backup is successful; then, for extra safety, deactivate the plugin before uploading the new version to ensure a clean overwrite of the plugin files.
