Help with password
-
Hi, I have a WordPress account that I use regularly but today it wouldn’t accept my password (which has never changed, and is auto saved on laptop and phone).
I tried to get a new password but WordPress is not sending a reset email to my email address. I have checked spam and bin and all mail folders but there is nothing. I’ve had the account since 2011 or earlier so I don’t know if it’s associated with an old email address (but seems unlikely as I don’t recall having anything before my gmail)
There is another method for password retrieval but I have to have a receipt for payment for pro account (I’ve never had a pro account) or other information that I would never have had
I tried the Contact Us page but I need to log in to use it, so I there is no way for me to contact WordPress either
Anyone know what to do?

@mosellemoselle Alright ! This is frustrating but this is fixable. As you have already mentioned Contact Us requires login which is true for normal support. But there is another way to do it.
Go to:
wordpress.com/help/account-recoveryThey have a account recovery form that does not require login. They may ask, appropriate account creation year(which is 2011), old passwords you remember, website URL, username or any other connected social accounts. Hope this will help you !
You might be facing the gmail filtering issue as well. Search in Gmail from:wordpress.com or from:wordpress.com older_than:5y
