  I’m just about to launch my new website and played around with wordpress during the research stage. I may come back to a wordpress solution next year but for now I wish to clear down all of my content and just hold onto the URL. Is it possible to get the http://spottydogcommunications.wordpress.com/ to repoint to http://www.spottydogcommunications.com? Thanks for your help!

  This is the answer to your first question. If you do not have a lot of content you can easily delete all blog content by yourself rather than waiting for Staff to do it for you.
  bulk delete images & media http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
  bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
  bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit
