My private information is being shared
Publishing certain private or sensitive information–such as someone’s personally identifying information without their consent–may be a violation of our Guidelines
In the case of a site hosted on WordPress.com, the site owners are responsible for the information they collect and publish, including handling deletion requests with respect to GDPR and CCPA. We, Automattic, act as a service provider to the site owners in connection with that content.
As a first step, we recommend attempting to contact the site owner by doing the following:
- Commenting on the specific post or page (if the site has comments enabled);
- Checking to see if there is contact information on the site;
- Attempting to contact the site owner through private who.is (available for some WordPress.com websites).
