Origin is a light, elegant theme with a minimalist look and feel, perfect for a blog or journal. Your photos are the focus thanks to featured images and stylized Sticky posts, and the responsive design makes it a great fit for mobile devices and small screen sizes.

Featured Images

If your post has a Featured Image set, it will display as a post thumbnail on the blog index. Post thumbnails are 154 pixels wide, unless you make the post Sticky, in which case they’re the full column width of 640 pixels.

Widget Areas

Origin supports six widget areas:

The Primary sidebar displays search, archives, and meta by default if no widgets are configured in Customize -> Widgets.

The four Footer Columns and After Post widget areas are optional and will display only when configured. The After Single sidebar is handy for including a brief author description or perhaps a list of tags or categories to help readers more effectively discover your awesome content.

Custom Background and Header

Make Origin your own by adding a custom background or custom header. The custom header will only display if configured in Customize -> Header Image.

Custom Menu

Origin supports one custom menu in the header. The theme will fall back to display your pages if the Navigation menu is not configured and saved.

Full-Width Page Template

Is that sidebar cramping your style? Give your content some room to breathe by setting individual pages to the Full Width page template included with Origin.
