To add Featured Images to your post, go to My Sites → Blog Posts → Add and click Featured Image module on the left to upload/add a Featured Image to your post. See the Featured Image support doc for full instruction.
Escutcheon has two custom menu areas, both of which are in the header section of the site. The “Main Menu” that’s displayed on the top left and the “Social Menu” that’s shown on the top right. See the Custom Menus page for instructions for setting up menus on Escutcheon.
Escutcheon displays widgets on the sidebar on single posts and pages, but not on the blog or archives pages. The sidebar is shown on the left side. The widgets on the sidebar can be configured from My Sites → Customize → Widgets.
