The following documentation will help you get your new blog setup like the demo.
Setting Your Theme Color and Social Links
Blog Simple comes with a Theme Options page that allows you to set your own theme color and add social links. To do this, go to your WP Admin dashboard, Appearance → Theme Options.
Note: The instructions from this guide are referring to the WP Admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding
/wp-adminto the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin)
On this page you’ll see that you can choose recommended colors or set your own.
Once you choose the color you like, be sure to save your changes.
Adding Social Links
While still in the Theme Options page, below the colors section, you’ll see a section that allows you to add social links in the footer of your site. The social links options include: email, Twitter link, and Facebook link. Once you add the information, be sure to save your changes.
Add a Featured Post Like in the Demo

Do you feel the need to have lots of widgets? No problem! Blog Simple has three optional widget areas in the footer. Learn more about adding widgets.
